I don't know if there are any threads on guru about this, but anyway all of the forums I've seen and tried couldn't help me. Maybe you gus will be able to.

My problem is when I open Ventrilo the latest version 3.0.1 / 3.0.0 where my guildies are it starts connecting and when I come to MSG: Synchronizing it stays there forever. If I reboot my internet while it sais that it works eventually, but I hate rebooting internet because it takes a shitload of time.

I also tried opening some ports on my firewall. It doesn't work. Maybe I have the wrong ports I don't know. I even closed the firewall, but it still won't connect. I had no problems with this(I also put some ports on my former pc, so it worked) untill I got my new pc and the ports don't work.

If anyone has any ideas, or if anyone had the same problem, could u please tell me the ports you used.. I'd appreciate it. Regards

This might not have anything to do with your problem but I'll put it out there anyhow.

Just the other day I was trying to help my young relative get connected to ventrilo and he kept getting the same type of message with connecting, and it just wouldn't connect. It turned out he could only get connected if he was signed in on the administrator account for Windows (his mother's). Because he was signed in on his user account there were certain things he could not do, like connect to Ventrilo. Maybe that's why you can connect when you reboot - you are using the administrator's account which allows you to connect to Ventrilo.

Hope this makes since.

Thanks for the help, but I am the administrator on the PC. I really think it has something to do with the ports tho. Tnx for replying.

software the fix is always the same. rip out and put it back with a different copy. when firing it up for the 1st time drop your firewall and bring it up with vent active. ports should auto map.
