Just wondering.
Introverted Dimensions
Been playing GW for a few years now and took quite a long break and came back about 2 months ago.
So here I am again, Pretty much bored of the game and wondering why on earth did I even bother buying two expansions for the game.
I'm just wondering what do you all do on this game that keeps you going?

I met good friends and I like to play with them, that's the only big reason I keep playing it.

Play something else instead of forcing myself to keep playing when I know I'm getting bored. The more you force the harder it is to come back. At least for me it is.
What I do to try avoid boredom in the first place is mostly try to do events with guildies, friends or advance my main character. If I get tired of playing her I move over to my Assassin for a couple of days. Basically, don't stall and stay in the same place or loop.

Biggest reason is I been gaming with the same dudes for a long time. Followed by RA, TA, and AB. I only really do PvE when they're doing it anymore.

or go outside if ur bored?

Everyone's tastes are different.
Don't be like those people that try to force themselves to play GW. It's dumb and probably unhealthy.

When I get bored, I typically just stop playing for a while, and go to something else. It gets pretty fun when I set a goal, or start focusing on one character instead of being like, "Who should I use today?" It's strange, since I always get bored during the weekends with special drops. I guess farming sometimes kills the game for me and makes me move to something else, but I'll always come back.

I play because I want to, if you're forcing yourself, you don't want to do it.
So why do something that's for FUN, while you don't like it? :3
My main reasons for playing? I want to.

1) I'm striving to get all of my characters to a certain point before officially saying I've done enough with the game.
That includes:
All three Protector Titles
At least one Cartography title
Legendary Skill Hunter
Sunspear & Lightbringer Max Rank
I cover the three bases: Actual storyline, mapping and grinding.
2) I enjoy helping other people. I have no problem redoing the same mission, quest or situation because it's good practice on my build as well as the predictable... drops to sell to the merchant for gold.
3) It's a game and I have fun playing it. That's the whole reason I play Guild Wars... it's entertaining.
I can raise my hand to say that I enjoy fighting and/or playing GW with Heroes and Henchmen.

Getting my PvE titles and thinking "Yay, done it!".
GvG'ing.
Right now, I'm title hunting and GvGing a little getting used to multiple positions, and at the same time, impoving my own skills.

I spend maybe about 4 hours on GW a week, maybe.

The ever constant variations of ABs and finding new people to PvP with. The storyline just got me started, but once I finished all of them my interest is now on the PvP.

Friends and new weapons pretty much are the only reasons that kept me logging in since one year or so ago.
Lack of new content pretty much killed the game for me.

you can give your game to a friend. I am sure someone with more taste would know how to appreciate it

A year ago my answer would have been farming so I could have enough plat to buy anything I might want enough. Since then I've gotten enough loot to satisfy me.
I'm very slowly pursuing titles that are fun enough to pursue every now and again. This includes some PvP titles and about 10 titles for my relatively new mesmer. This keeps me busy, especially preparing for weekend events (e.g. getting my character far enough in GWEN to farm the rep I want next).
These days I probably average 10 hours a week so my play time is quite moderate.
Once I get a better computer I'd like to spend more time with HA and GvG, if I can spare the time for it.

Roleplaying keeps me in the game mainly. As long as I'm having fun, the game is serving it's purpose.

Log out. It's better to do what you want, not force yourself to play a game.

I keep my interest by creating new characters and filling the armor section of the HoM. I like making my characters look good, and that's about it :S
