Deletion Cache
Darks Legacy
What really bit the dirt for me in Guildwars was a while ago last summer, i was pvp crazy and doing alot of deleting and creating of my pvp characters. Well one random day, i was in ra testing out new builds with my pvp warrior and decided to delete it and create another proffession. What was stupid was that i accidenatlly clicked on my pve warrior because i was in a rush to create a new pvp character and i typed in his name in the deletion box. 3 years of work gone, so i emailed support and asked them if they had anyway of retrieving lost deleted characters, and in short, they said no. Can guildwars implement a system where characters that were recently deleted be saved in some sort of cache for a period of days so if the player thinks he regrets deleting his character, he can email support, ask them to reactivate the character so that those like me don't have to play with the emotions of deleting your favourite guy

Some people get passed that safeguard of typing in the name, before deletion. I was one of those

Well.. you should know your character names is all I have to say =/.
it's odd to forget what a char is called that you played for 3 years.

1: Guild Wars series at Best Buy = $150
2: Soda, candy, No-Doze for 3 years = $3,000
3: Deleting your 3 year old Character because you don't pay attention = Priceless!

No reason for anet to sit around fixing your mistakes. They have way better things to do.

My PvP Characters:
Star of X
My PvE Characters:
Tai X
X Tai
(X being something pertaining to the profession).
I think you don't know your characters very well
/notsigned.
Might as well make unlimited character slots while we're at it. Jk.

I'm sorry to say that, but you have been really dumb... I mean, if you played with him for so long, you should have realized that you were typing the name of your warrior...
A little hint : don't give your PvP chars a name that's almost the same as one of your PvE char...

What about simply a "probation time" of 10 minutes, where your character becomes unactivated, and you simply "re activate" it if you change your mind before the 10 minutes is up. That way it is dipshit proof (i do admit deleting similarly named characters... "Kerpall pvp , kerpall pve" , back in my earlier stages of GW. With a 1 letter difference, mistakes are easily overlooked).
