This would have to be currently the most powerful PVE healing build in the game. Based on some old ideas and centered around Ether Renwal, this build is able to constantly maintain around ~430Hp heals and can heal itself for around 350Hp after every infuse. As well as this, Heal Party can be spammed every 2 seconds without energy concerns.

[build=OgNTw4G/mhkgR+ifkQCtoWI9B]

Optional skills; Swap Life Attunement instead of Vital Blessing for less heals, but more healing done to yourself after infuse.

Equipment

* All Survival Insignias, All Vitae Runes and Sup Vigour
* +5e, 20% Enchant Spear (Spirit of the Forgotten)
* +12e, +30hp Energy Req. Offhand, 10% HRS (Mallyx's Perpetuity)

Usage

At the start, precast Vital Blessing and Aura of Restoration. Before Battle, cast Glyph of Swiftness followed by Ether Renewal. Spam Heal Party whenever you can and infuse low health targets. You can basically infuse anyone you want and immediatly cast Heal Area or Kareis Healing Circle. After every infuse you should cast a healing circle to give you back nearly full health again.

Beware of casting heal party when members of the party are in risk of needing an infuse as the 2sec casting time on heal party might make you miss an important infuse.

With this setup you should be at around 750Hp, so you will be nearly constantly infusing for 450-500Hp as well as healing your backline with Healing Circle and Heal Party.

With Glyph of Swiftness, you should be able to maintain Ether Renewal nearly 100% of the time.

Counters

Rends, Enchantment Removal and Energy Denial. Losing Ether Renewal is not good. Make sure you cover Ether Renewal with Aura of Restoration each time you cast.

Variants

There is a defensive variant to this build that uses higher Protection Prayers and less healing circles. This protection variant can use Prot Spirit and Spirit Bond and any other high energy, fast cast protection spell for constant defense and the occasional infuse.

Notes

Be sure to throw off an infuse early in the battle to trigger hero AI to cast things like Prot Spirit or Death Nova on to you to give you even more enchantments. If you cast a maintained enchantment onto another character, i do not beleive that Ether Renewal actually picks up that enchantment for energy regain.

Very nice. Can heroes use this bar well?

Tidus, the code didn't update. Otherwise it's supposed to be a 20 second'ish duration.

I also still don't like the build because prots>redbarring.

Oh I see, if you use a minor energy storage rune on the head gear, then you can keep Ether Renewal for 19/22.5 seconds.

This build will not work if enemies get close to you, because you'll be healing them.

This is just my thought and opinion. The healing from this build looks awesome, but I'm a bit agitated at the healing area spells. Technically your enemies could get healed too and in some places that's a bad thing. With those two spells I can see why this is preferred to be a PvE build as they would be annoying in PvP. The two spells would practically even out the field. The protective variants for this build are good, but there are some good healing spell variants that would work well, too. If the healing area spells are beginning to be a bother then at least one can be switched with Healing Ribbon, Heal Other, Healing Breeze, or maybe even Healing Seed. They might not be as effective as an AoE healing, but they are variants from the annoyance of healing enemies as a side effect, but Healing Ribbon seems close enough. One more thing, where's the rez? I understand that in some places it doesn't matter, but for others it helps to bring one, especially in missions.

The AoE Healing doesn;t come into effect unless the group gets overrun by frontliners. In that case, it doesn;t really hurt to occasionally heal the enemy while you are pounding on their squishies at the back. Otherwise, you just don;t use the circle when they are near you. With around 750Hp, and with an Ele/X profession the monster AI rarely targets you, so it;s a pretty cruisy day for you.

Edit: oh, 150hp heal to enemy monsters is not much at all. you are healing your team with infuse and 150hp isn;t much at all. altho, those Charr Shamen use Infuse and Heal Area to great effect i notice.

12+1+1 Energy = 19sec + 20% +25% faster recharge = 22.8 + 5.7 = 28.5 out of 30sec recharge with a 10% HCS chance. Yuo could also swap to a 20%enchant, 40HSR set when you cast (if you can make them?) Ether Renewal and then keep a +60HP Sword and Shield set for even higher health.

I chose the healing circles as my self heal rather than party heal and the Infuse is more than enuff to heal the whole party. I think i encountered maybe 5 times out of 7hours of vanquishing that i healed the enemy with the circle.

No Rez??? Sorry, my philosophy is that Monks don;t rez. hard Rez skills are purely for Midliners and soft rez for frontliners. As a monk, your job is to keep the team alive and cannot risk a death because you are out of action for 4-6 seconds. Keeping Flesh of My Flesh or Death Pact on Midline Ele or Mesmers is a much better method. Even a Rez chant on a fast cast mesmer. Rez sigs on Warriors etc etc.

Finally, i like Heal Party, but the 2 sec cast time is rather annoying... maybe [patient spirit] or [shield guardian] would be better here....? Ideas anyone?

I really liked the idea of a build like this, although a prot version of it. Something like this:

[build prof=E/Mo Energy Storage=12+1+1 Protection=12][Reversal of Fortune][Shield of Absorption][Mend Condition][Shield Guardian][Protective Spirit][Aura of Restoration][Ether Renewal][Glyph of Swiftness][/build]

Glyph->Ether->Aura->Prot Spirit-> Spam away.

Glyph->Ether->Aura->Prot Spirit-> Spam away. Oh hell yeah. Spam Shield Guardian? That's what I'm talking about. Basically any healing build with Ether Renewal and Glyph of Swiftness is a good build.

to the OP..

Infuse doesn't work. ER heals you BEFORE Infuse takes half your health. I just tried it. Energy wise, ER is amazing, but the healing side of it wont let you spam Infuse to all hell.

Infuse is a 50% current health loss. It's supposed to be something like: Enchants->Infuse->AoE Heal->AoE Heal->Infuse->AoE Heal->Infuse->Etc.

Anyways, I'd prefer to just avoid trying to go pure heal or pure prot as it's hard to find skills that are actualy effective, yet still abuse ER's imbaness.
therefore, hybrid:
[build name="renewal healer" prof=E/mo healingprayers=10 protectionprayers=9 energystorage=11+1+1 airmagic=4][heal other][convert hexes][heal party][prot spirit][aegis][glyph of swiftness][ether renewal][aura of restoration][/build]
13 is the breakpoint for 4 energy return on ER, meaning you can split 11-10-10 with ES minor rune+head piece and maximum return for your prot/heal investments. The skill choices are clearly still up for discussion, but these are the most useful ones I could think to fit in a bar, most of them actualy justifying their spots and not just being added because they're expensive.

[ether renewal] promotes spamming

u cant really spam [infuse health]
its more of a timing thing

not to mention half ur bar is dedicated to self-heal (key word: "self")

i dun see wuts wrong wit back to back [heal other] + [jamei's gaze]?

Usually i'd say energy pool Ele/Mo healers suck the big one compared to primary monks. But this looks pretty good considering it revolves around the e-management provided by Ether Renewal. So the big and obvious question i have, is it worth kitting out Vekk to go Ele/Mo and cast Dunkoro to the side?

IE - Does the build or the concept for it work well on a Hero?
