I was wondering if anyone knew of any chest farming spots that are not in EotN, and preferably one that is in Elona. I am only really looking for areas which can be done in HM with a Ranger primary. Locations and builds would be appreciated!
So far I'm mostly going around the Mirror of Lyss with Shadow Form but it is not too fast at 1 Locked Chest per 2-3 mins. Also, has anyone noticed a tendancy for some Stormseeds, Roaring Ethers and Rock Beetles to chase you uber-far? I mean I know it is Hard Mode but some chase seemingly indefinately; even long after the rest of their group has turned back (which more often than not results in dying if using Shadow Form).

I can't remember the name of the zone you go to, but if you do the lb/ss farm from remains of salahja (i think it's the name) you'll see quite a few locked chests, and have the added benefit of grinding your ss/lb titles (if not maxed yet).

Unfotunately I maxed those titles on my ranger a while ago - opening the Locked Chests whenever I saw them.

Agree with Witchblade - nicely spaced groups.

As for the chasing extra long distances, make sure the one chasing you is not about to cast a spell on you when you went out of range, as they won't stop til they cast/fail to cast said spell. Atleast that have been the case before.

I did say preferably Elonan but Tyrian and Canthan locations are also good (to add a bit of variation in case I get bored). I ran Gyala Hatchery chests ages ago (there was a double Gold Item drop weekend from chests) but that was before Hard Mode. Is it still doable in Hard Mode (that Siphon Speed used to really annoy me since I wasn't using builds with protection from spells back then)?
I've monitored the spells said chasing monsters attempt to cast and, at least in the case of Roaring Ethers they keep trying to cast everything on me, which always fails until my Shadow Form eventually runs out. Only once have I managed to not die/break aggro from one of these 'followers' and that was a Rock Beetle. Fortunately it missed with the first two casts of Stoning (projectile spells vs 33% speed buff ) and gave me an opportunity to regen some health to survive the Stone Dagger casts and keep on running to get away. It broke aggro roughly 45-50 seconds after I ran by it - the rest break usually at around ~28 seconds, just before the Form runs out.

This thread belongs in the Farming forum, where there's a Chestrunning sticky: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10145278
I'm not too familiar with Chestrunning myself, but I'm sure you'll find something decent in there. It's been a while since the OP's updated so go looking through the entirety of the thread as well when you've got time.
