PVE leecher
Team Spirit
Is there any thread out there about this problem? If there is can someone give me a link to that. We spent times to form group and everything needed, but this just break the team down, we can't resign cuz leecher will never type /resign. And after a full long run clear, leecher will be rez, thats when everyone in the team lose and the leecher win.

+ elite areas takes really long what about our body needs o_O. Well really i know it sucks when one go away n brings more deaths then needed...anyway there can be more important things u need to do at that moment - then he should leave whole run knowing it will take some time. Sucky person what to say^^

Last time I was in an Elite zone players were screaming at a guy for being a leech once they noticed he was well behind us.
Scrolling up I found out that he had lost connection to the server and never restored....

if they leave 15 minutes from the end it usually means
1) Disconnect
2) Ran out of time, eg took longer then expected
3) Biobreak
4) Life took precedence
5) Decided to waste 45+ mins in order to leech 15.
Its not that big a deal usually.

If they help for most of the mission / area, I usually don't mind. If they leech right from the beginning, I always restart.

It's not as if it matters much, anyways - if they're off the compass (ie, greyed out) they get no loot or XP, and if you reach the end, just have the leader of the group map the party out (why bother with /resign?) once everyone else has confirmed that they got their rewards and picked up their loot from the chest (if a dungeon or whatever run). Of course, if it's a mission they'll still get the reward when it ends, not much that can be done about that**.
But, as has been noted, most cases of people suddenly going silent during a mission/dungeon/whatever are not people leeching, but instead disconnects (hint: lag spikes can kill even 15mbps connections) or real life and don't really deserve punishment.
On the other hand, if someone follows the group just at the edge of the compass range, just grabbing their loot & free XP and not helping out... That is a leech. Or the dude in Alliance Battles who just sits in the starting area doing nothing from the start (as opposed to the one who got disconnected/called away during battle, died, then rezzed there)...
** (actually, they probably could set things up so that those who are greyed out because of distance/disconnection aren't considered part of the party and give the rewards, and credit for mission completion, only to those who are within range of the leader when it ends.)

Leader can only map from town to town not out of a mission or explorable area.

The OP was stating that the group couldn't resign because of the one guy. If they're at that stage, then the original idea of reforming the party is the most sensible. Or even having someone run back to the portal, depending on area...

well i just hope they will find a solution for PVE leechers like in islands i just hate such situations like looking for losers 10-15 mins after the start.. that happening so often in Fow .....
