Is it just me or do gold Items/Weapons sell for more then similar greens in the auctions?
Is this because you can modify a gold weapon to suit your needs and greens are only able to be customized?

It's realy simple looks Murakai's Reaver it's a greeni but it drops so many times. The same skin in gold drops, more rare to very rare. I think before you become one gold req 9, you become 30-50 drops in green of the this skin. Or look the endscythe of nightfall, in green can have it everybody how have nf, but in gold is harder to come on it. To last some items gives only in gold, look eternal blade, emerald blade, obsidian edge, draconic shield etc.

Yup, greens are a lot easier to get, because it is known that a certain boss, or in some cases monster, will drop one sometime, whereas with golds you can't always predict.

1. You can get the skin you want and the mods you want. Some skins aren't available on greens at all. And very few greens have the mods you'd want, unless you're an idiot who thinks 20/20 sundering, +30hp is "perfect" for PvE.
2. Golds are dyeable.
3. Golds can be remodded later if you want to change it for some reason.
4. Req 8 is available.

maybe the art of your playing has change over the time then now maybe you use a other build. So you need other enhancements on the item. on begin of playing was 20/20, +15^50 and +30 hp right, that have maybe the greeni. but now you need +1/-1, +5 ene and 20% enhancing of skill duration. but you like the skin still again, so you buy the skin in gold, thats what i mean.

So is the same difference between a greeni and a very rare req 7 or 8 gold item. and what
you want with a lot of money and ectos in your storage, nobody see it. But a very rare gold
item see the most.
The last reason, maybe your are simply a collector of rare items.
about the sense of all this different reasons you can discuss, but i think that make the same
sense as a discussion about the lovely color or the favourite dish.
