My advice to add to this is that I find it less laggy when i go from international districts which tend to be quieter, may have nothing whatsoever to do with it, but it worked twice for me

Get down to lutgardis w/o dying and hfff it, once your reach lutgardis you are guaranteed to make it.

yea, if you are going for survivor, make sure you delete some crap inside of your computer, particularly images and such. Because more files tend to slow your computer down.

I was stupid enough to do punch-out during the recent server/network maintenance thingy and got killed shortly after reaching level 1 survivor. I was annoyed for a while, but to be honest it was kind of a relief. I probably would have lost my mind before reaching 1 million XP, and now I can just Leeroy around with my elementalist whenever I feel like it.

I failed 3 times thanks to various reasons , I said "F*ck it!" , now my last LS charr keeps my minis
I have no good advice on how to reach the title more safely , kilroy and hfff are the safest methods of reaching LS I know about.

I got Legendary Survivor 4 times now - 2 pre-EoTN doing Jade Brotherhood runs (Monk and Ele), and 2 post-EoTN doing Killroy runs (Monk and Asn).

There's no doubt that Killroy is the best method. I'd prefer to fail at 7:00 hours of gameplay by lagging at Killroy than fail at 70:00 hours playing normally. By that time, I could have tried around 10 times again on Killroy and maybe gotten the title.

I recommend to farm for the title, yes, because 1.337 M EXP is A LOT to get normally without doing something stupid or disconnecting. Capping skills is an option, but is expensive - use that money buying scrolls to do Killroy, it gets the title faster and safer than capping.

Cut the times of Killroy runs as much as possible by using the best scrolls you can afford - less runs, less risk.

There are safer ways to do it like the previously mentioned hfff, but imo if you do something foolproof and repetitive to deliberately grind for LS, I have no respect for your title.

Currently, Survivor is so easy that it became a LUCK-based title.

Lag hits, crashes, the stupid programs deciding that they should steal the focus even when you have deactivated that in the windows registry, are the only things that can really prevent you from achieving it.

That's why it is an aberrant non-retryable title.

It took alot character restarts before I actually got my LS. Yeah luck has to definitely be on your side, that and a good computer/connection.

considering the fact that I got my butt killed because I was doing something stupid while going for survivor (I had a monk and was trying to use a scroll while down and forgot to use stand up), I find survivor to be the HARDEST skill ever. My internet connection is really good. A good tip is when there is server maintenance (Regina will give the heads up), then it's probably not a good time to do survivor.

after trying 1000 times (literally!!! hehehe j/k but i tried so many times that i named my character L A S T O N E for my last attempt to do LS. Luckily, I made it. So now i have a Warrior with LS title. His name is L A S T O N E).

After that i tried again and it seems that LS is no longer hard to achieve (especially if you have lots of gold). But there are some non-technical factors that will hinder you from achieving that title like when i was working with my second LS character, i went afk after i beat the first giant. so no enemy around. when i came back i was already in town and i was wondering why. then i realized that my brass knuckle has +3/-1 hp.

so there. stupidity killed the cat.

gee the wurms never drop me a lockpick......and I would not use it on those chests anyways (of the eye chests I have opened one yes only ONE has been gold the rest purples....and stuff the merchant wont even pay decently for either!)....
yes wurms are the way to do it....and if you dont move while wanding them you can wand them while they are under ground too (and minions will continue to beat on them as well.....)...one wurm run takes about 6 minutes and can net well over 6k xp (with a scroll)....you can do the math on how long that will take from where ever you started with xp wise. ( I have about 100 more trips left to get to my legendary survivor level )
