as we all know, save the possible drop from zaishen chests (if even possible), bo staves are only found in cantha, and it seems most req9 perfect ones are found throughout earlier parts of cantha.
so does anyone know where might be the best place to farm bo staves and if possible, what kind of build would be most appropriate?
i've found bo staves for all my casting professions except necromancer, and it seems no one has a decent req9 bo staff to sell for that profession...so i'd appreciate any help on where there might be the greatest encounter with bo staves in nm OR hm (presumably the latter).

I've gotten quite a few, but they nearly always drop as 20/10 instead of fastcast for a certain attribute.

Yep those are the best things to find them really although I lean towards Minister chos in HM since I've gotten a lot from there.

Also do-able by Rt/Mo; just look up the 330 Ritualist build.

Although I didn't hardcore farm but only bad thing for me is that ones that drop in factions would be non-insc, so getting one with the right mods I need for pvp would need a lot of luck. The only two ways I know to get an insc one is from zchest or from pvp weapon unlocks.
I might have a go farming some of the places people have suggested later on just for fun. Would be interested to see what kinda bo staves ppl find.

If you want Bo Staves. Go do Halycon Farming they have decent Drop there. The Amount of Locked Chests that appear every run you will get one. This is where I got my Warrior MM hero Staff. Yes it a Bo Staff that I found from opening Chests. If you need of Bo Staff Gold, Farm Halycon.

It's terribly off-topic, so very sorry, but this whole thread amazes me. Not in a negative way but really just in an awestruck way. I'm a fan of getting the "coolest" or "trendy" weapons too but this fella is going for his preference regardless of what the rest of GW or anyone else thinks. Kudos sir. Genuine kudos.
At any rate, the aforementioned farms are good, and a 330 hp Rit is a fantastic way to farm it. Also check out the old way to farm Wajjun Bazaar for Survivor before Kilroy came out (look in the Farming section under Survivor and it should be easy to find). You can kill a whole lot of Jade Brotherhood and get those chances. Although, come to think of it, as many of those as I've had come and go and merched, I'm not sure I've ever seen a gold one at all.

thx for the info Exico. i used to farm haylcon a lot before all the nerfs, but never used to open the chests. at least now i know what i'll be spending my money on. i just did a few runs and there are usually 1-2 chests each run so stock up on lockpicks if ur gonna do this. also a lot of white bo staves drop, but i don't recall having any gold bo stave drops from the sins.

I don't think I've ever really made it past all those animals. Not something the build I run can handle, I guess.

can someone post the w/n build for minister cho's pls? i just had a go there with my mo/n but took 12mins to reach those animals at which point i failed the mission cos togo died lol. i did get a sup vigor from halycon yesterday because theres usually a lot of gold garb drops, so i'll probably rotate between the two for a bit.
