So i am currently going through eye of the north, and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for a build to use when in the dungeons. I'd like to try out an earth build but if that isn't really suitable, i dont mind another element.
Could you please tell me what runes/insignias to have on my armor and also what weapon set would be good?
I'm not trying to solo, i am usually in a full party, and i dont mind using support skills like wards.

Either of those in my opinion. Or something with fire. Lots of fire. Burn them all.
...or something new and funky with [[Ether Renewal].
There are lots of good builds. Use those as a starting point if you like, and develop your own, come back and post it and ask for opinions. Creating a build and receiving criticism / suggestions is the best way to learn.

I'd recommend some sort of Warder (combined with some sort of DPS), with the wards changing depending on the area you're doing. Ones I'd consider are (like pick 2 or 3):
[ebon battle standard of wisdom][ebon battle standard of courage][ward of stability][ward against melee][ward of stability]
Elites to consider are:
[Unsteady ground][shockwave][mind blast][sandstorm]
[earthquake]+[aftershock] is a good combo to use too (although you need to watch out for exhaustion!).
Then depending on what you have left throw in some sort of energy management-if there's alot of foes dying at once, [air of superiority] will do nicely. If not, [glyph of lesser energy] will work (depending on your build and how many PvE skills you got you could always pair the two).
Since EotN enemies have a greater chance of scatter (or so it seems!) you'd want to pair your AoE with some sort of snare or knockdown.

for most dungeons, but an earth build i've been recently using against destroyers especially in HM is
[unsteady ground][churning earth][eruption][optional][optional][ward against melee][earth attunement][optional]
its very effective if you can time the KDs right you can keep the mobs knocked down for the majority of the battle.
