Having not set foot in the blissful world of Tyria since early '07, I returned to my first MMORPG atlast! When I left ((For WoW)) Nightfall was uppon us and the guilds War Machine and The Last Pride were the top dogs!

War Machine was disbanded to join the military I think, and afaik The Last Pride was still around, but when I checked the Guild Ladder I can't see them anywhere!

What happened to them, did they quit too?

EvIL went to the military also but they're back now afaik. I've seen Soul Wedding on a couple times and my friend AB'd with him not to long ago.

Ahh, nice to know DE, thanks!

I miss the old days of Crip Shotting and spiking, all these memories are persuading me to return! And WoW is getting rather boring.

Now then, where'd I put my discs...

If it helps to know, cripshot is still run fairly often in GvG.

Natural stride's the favored stance now, if you remember distortion.

edit: as well, Cripshot's 10 energy/2sec recharge, as opposed to 2006's 15 energy/1sec recharge, IIRC.

It was the other way around, Last Pride disbanded due to the military. At about the same time WM stopped playing because of a lack of prizes I believe.. Couple of months later Soul Wedding moved to WM, but they never got back to their old level. And then they just got bored like anyone else and left. Some members (like Soul Wedding) do log in at times, but that is about it.

Last Pride only had a couple people leave for the military, not the entire guild. But they did come back for a short while, and stay long enough to tell people that they would never come back to GW unless there was something worth playing for (this was when Anet put in AT's).

So yeah, EvIL and WM knew that GvG was going to suffer from ATs, and look at it now. It's basically dead. Next time I play a game with Koreans I'm DEFINITELY gonna do whatever they do :P

EvIL lived past the military phase by grabbing a bunch of people from RenO iirc (which was in the same situation), but as Fenix said, it was only temporary.

Sorta

They all kinda jumped in to WM, but it didn't really go anywhere.

The only active Korean guilds are [star] and [glad].
