Best farming class with new skills?
Loli Krasivaya
If there has been a thread like this made, please redirect me and lock this one.
I have one character slot left and I want to make a farming character. With all the new buffs to skills in pve (ex: shadow form), it's hard to pick what would be the best character to make.
I want to farm with something that won't require me to play through much of the game to farm with (ie: raptors, vaettir, uw, no endgame nightfall or anything), and won't require much pve grinding (lb/ss/etc.)
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks!

I'd say Sin or Ele, mainly because of SF

sin ftw after the SF update. It can farm almost anything you want.
However, you have to get 2 PVE skills if you want to use THAT specific build.
air of superiority requires you to finish a kinda long quests chain.
ebon battle standard of honor requires you to finish the ebon main quests.

agreed. Sin/Ele are now some of the most popular builds around

ebon battle standard of honor requires you to finish the ebon main quests. Even so, you don't -need- them. It just may take a bit longer. I personally use Dash, Shadow Refuge, and Death's charge as my other skills currently :/
At any rate, with a sin you can pretty much farm anything you want and run anywhere you want ('cept Rata Sum, it seems :P).
Just be aware of any skills that go through SF (monster, signet, skill(skill type)) and your fine

Hands down....and this is coming from a big Ele fanboy. The recent update just WTFBUFFed sins as farmers.
Also, a Sin ran me from EoTN to Tarnished Haven.....which includes rata sum. It can literally run you to any outpost in EoTN with the exception of Central Transfer Chamber since you need to piggy-back with a group doing destructive depths for that one.

Assassins, although Mesmers are leet too ;d Just that Assassin has everything easier than Mesmer.

I recently got an elite sin tome for my lvl 20 sin (has hardly done anything), ran straight to rata sum and am farming the entire raptor cave wit 5 skills, none of which are PvE skills.

For the moment, Sins are the best.
Few weeks ago, Ele were the best (they are still VERY good, but Sins are just little bit better, because of SF)
Before Ele, Monks were the best, they can still be used for 600/Smite farming, but 55 is kinda lame, it doesn't work properly if you compare it to other solo farms.
Warriors can also farm some places, and Ritualists can still do VwK or 330.
Any class can farm, but this is my list of which can farm the best:
1. Elementalist (Earth Ele)
2. Assassin (Yes, Assassin on second, because I think Anet will nerf SF again, it's too good.)
3. Monk (Dual farming only, 600/Smite)
4. Ritualist (VwK, 330)
5. Warrior (Alot of different builds, but they are mostly hard to play, IMO.)

Assassin by far with the new sf buff, but I'm not getting my hopes up because Anerf will nerf it. Not if but when. I would probably create an elementalist if I were you, you could try to make an assassin but it would suck if you got it up and running and then sf was nerfed or something. But it's up to you.

depends if you want to farm just for gold or farm specific items.
it also depends if you limit yourself to solo or you're willing to do duos, teams of 3s and 5s, etc
overall Sins/Eles offer you the most variaty of farming options, Rit comes close behind them, than the 55 Monks and Necros. Mesmers can also 55 but are less effective than Monks and Necros, Rangers can farm with Famine builds and Trapping, Warriors can farm with various builds(usually relying on a secondary profession elite), Dervish can farm with 130 build.
pretty much anything can solo farm effectively besides the Paragon

Me/A is best for soloing UW now. More points in illusion magic gives you more damage than the A/Me.
