Old player question

I haven't touched GW in a couple years, back when I quit the chinese expansion was coming out (assassins and stuff), and there was only one helm for the 15k armor sets. I've since learned that there is now a helm for every inherent +1 skill bonus. Well my 15k ascalon only came with +1 tactics, which I never use. If I start playing again do I have to buy a new 15k helm or is there an insignia thing I read about to change the +1 tactics to say, +1 axe or hammer?

To change the inherent +1, you do have to buy a new helm.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know if I have that much plat left heh, at least I also have the pimp 15k dragon set with the awesome +1 strength. On that note are the superior runes still in short supply and cost insane amounts of plat?

Runes have dropped dramatically in price. I think Superior absorbtions runes are down to 100g ea and Superior Vigor Runes are running between 15-20K these days. Very few runes run more than 1K.
