Everlasting Tonics

On the official website it says that a new Tonic, along with its Everlasting version will be avaliable from the Zaishen Chest each month. (Link)

Does this mean that the next one is added in June, the May tonic, Phantasmal, will be taken out?

Or do they just add 1 new type on top of the others each month?

Yes next one is added in June. We don't know if they will make the May ones stop dropping after May is over, but based on the wordings I would assume so. If not and they continue to drop after May is over I'd guess that would make every other tonic after the phant worth that much more, as the phants would continue to keep flooding the market.

I, personally, hope that the May tonic does not stop dropping. Although the emotes are poor for that tonic, I still like the look *as I assume others do* and those who have Phantasmal Tonics will be able to sell them for skyrocketing prices if it is removed.

agreed they don't need to break the economy anymore. Leave it in or it will just be another thing power traders keep out of the hands of poor people.

Pretty sure it's already broken beyond repair, even recently there was a method, pretty much free ectos. It's not like I want to see all of the GW population running around transformed...

Well in my personal opinion these potions could be the new minis. When the beetle potions were made i knew instantly that it was a genius idea. I like the phantasmal ghost, but its just way to expensive now. I hope that new potions will come out. Its not like anything will change, their rarity will still be the same. I do believe that the want for the tonics will drop as time proceeds when better or newer ones come out. I hope for a kuunavang or glint potion, it would rock so hard! It would also be awesome if you could use the potions then fight! It would give a whole new meaning to GW if i could retain my form permenantly and go around killing enemies!

The May tonics have to be removed from the z-chest at some point unless Anet intends tonics to replace Cremes and Flasks as the most common drops. Cause if they are instead permanently added to the chest drop list, then so will the June, and the July and the August, etc...

So its better to establish now, that the tonics rotate monthly, then have to deal with people whining about it later.

Why shouldn't they take it out of the game? There HAS to be more ways of making money in this game, besides getting lucky with a good drop. At the moment, whenever a new item enters the game its value starts decreasing immediately. The only way to stop this is to stop the drops. Although I agree that a lot of items should be avaliable to people with less money, there has to be more exclusive items which only richer people can afford, but will also hold thier value.

Whether it's removed or not, Anet needs to make it clear now. However in true Anet fashion, we probably won't know for another 2 weeks.
