Well, I quit Guild Wars a while ago and was thinking about playing again, but was wondering how much as changed for the better or worse?

I have full char slots with filled, (2PVP), with a lot of money / gear / builds so i can probably do anything new.

I don't really remember the time wise I quit, but it was I think 2 weeks after GWEN came out. Beat the campaign on 3 characters, and rank 8 or 9 (Forget what it was exactly, but the rank you need for the first areas new set of armor) on my ranger and just got bored.

So... what's new and interesting? If anything.

Not actually a lot. Some PvE skills are separated from PvP skills, so that PvE doesn't have to deal with PvP nerfs and vise-versa. Unfortunately, Ursan is super-over-needsanerf-powered in PvE.

Contrary to what most people will say, it hasn't changed much for the worse, people just enjoy complaining about it.

The game has gotten a lot better, You can play dwarves and azura and norn, ride dragon mounts and play in groups of 200. The level cap has been raised to 300 and skills now do hundreds of damage. You can build your own castles and towns that make you money while you play. You can even Become a gw god and rule over other players.

None of that is true, but the game is still fun. Heroes are a great new addition. Hall of monuments is new and effectivly sucks away hours of your life while you try to fill it. Eye of the north and nightfall are both fun, Factions aint bad either. And they add in new pointless crap all the time that has nothing to do with growing better as a player and everything to do with looking pretty and bragging about pixils.

I say if you are looking to waste time on a game, Why not waste it on guildwars? Atleast then you can taste bitter defeat even when you're victorious.

Ask about "The 117 Mallyx" thing back in January. That's about the most exciting thing that's happened since EotN's failure.

Are there more things to farm at least? Either farm for money, greens, ect? I know before I quit I had a build for 55ing UW, trolls, HM, few of the GWEN places for specific items, ranger builds for UW and Fow. Warrior builds for imps, ect ect. Would you say there more of those kinda of things or still about the same?

Assassin's Shadow Form is indefinitely maintainable - just makes for an easy option for farming. (A/E)

Raptor farming in GWEN is supposed to be lovely.

The biggest changes would be the addition of weapons (Design a contest skins and Deldrimor Weapons) and the PvE/PvP skill split. Nothing else has changed.

Man I would love that in GW.

As I see it, Guild Wars have succesfully evolved into Farm Wars, leaving its "Skill over Time" policy behind for a new (to GW, but popular in Asia) "Grind over Skill" one. All that has been added to the game since months ago are grind-fest titles and new mini-pets to collect. Also, in PvE there are only 2 classes left - monks and Ursnans.

Anything good that's left in game is the PvP, finally PvP skills have been separated from PvE (why so late?).

If you want to kill some time with mindless grinding, Tyria's PvE awaits you.
If you wan't fun, don't even leave Balthazar's Temple.

It depends on how long ago you quit, but they've added:

Heroes
Hall of Monuments
Eye of The North
Dungeons
Hard Mode
Ursan
Zaishen Title
PvP/Pve skills now they're certain skills that are seperated.
Tons of grinding. If you like grinding head up to the north and grind all you want.

That's basically what's changed.

If you wish to avoid grinding, simply farm Factions. Never have I seen an Ursan group forming for Ghial Bone Dancer.

Because greens suck?

This isn't, unfortunately, old gw. It's just a free, instanced (instant? add water and poof?) WoW with nice pvp and boring pve with no actually point in grinding it other than to grind some more.

Well it has made PVP more popular as more of the PVE players now disappointed in the PVE side are playing PVP now. It's the only fun left in the game killing sins and rangers.

To the OP, nothing has really changed since GW:EN came out.

I do so love killing Sins. Rangers just don't fuel my appetite like Assassins do. Probably cause you usually have to run after Rangers and I'm lazy.

If you quit with Factions, the game has gone steadily down hill. Besides that GW is the same MMO wannabe.

Whether it is better or worse depends on perception,
By that I mean as far a choice and game content we have gained but this has come at a price.

Altering the game based on player requests and pvp necessities has both pleased and angered many.
Those pleased say little while those angered never stop moaning about it.

Add to this the many who never saw their ideas take shape and who say all would be well if only their many ideas where added to the game.

So the perception is that everything is downhill with players reminiscing about the good old days of GW when everything was wonderful.

You have more territory to explore more character classes more skills and items, skills based on game achievements heroes, contests events prizes and so on.
How can you have lost out.

Nothing has changed really, if you left after GW:EN. Nothing really important anyways.
