Hey, im trying to get guild wars to run on a school computer...
but it just keeps on saying : Connecting to ArenaNet.
Is there some sort of program to bypass this?

Thanks

First of all you are posting in the wrong place ... you should have tried in Technician’s Corner.

Second is the 6112 port of the computer/firewall etc, etc open?

...and are you allowed to run games on a school computer ?

It is most likely that the ports necessary to play GW (and other online games) are deliberately closed by your school's IT department.

They're not stupid, you know

most schools will have those sorts of things blocked...that's probably what it is...

Mind you, I'd be wary of anything that came from a .ru TLD.

Anyone else wanting to post a thread entitled "Guild Wars doesn't run" - we know Guild Wars doesn't run. It hobbles, occasionally breaking into a brisk walk.
