Imporvement for RIT and RIT secondary.
famous phil
I'm srry if this has already been posted. But in playing my rit and as spirit spammer it is hard to see ,in the heat of battle, to see what spirits are up.
So my suggestion is to add a icon ,a lot like the one that a necro has, to tell the caster how many spirits are up. Also add separate icons ,ie the ones rangers use, for the spirits that support the party. Spirits like "life" and "recuperation" that would show for all the party members ,ie "winter" and "quickening zephyr".
This would not only help the rits with there skills but also help the party members to know where the spirits are in the heat of battle in both pvp and pve.
Anyway thats it.

So you want to take one of the few remaining aspects of a ritualist that require skill and delete it?
What do you want, a class that requiress you to only roll your head around on the keyboard to be effective?

I like the idea.
I just started a Rit and every little bit helps.
It's not like it isn't done with other characters, just adding what works with them to your class.
If you wanted to modify the icon more, since you can only maintain one of each spirit, have the 'count-down' bar to let the Rit know when a spirit is finished. Other skills/spells do that anyway (healing breeze).

Well I know for recuperation that there is an icon in the area of where any effects, enchantments, hexes are shown when you are in proximity of the spirit already. It has always been like this. Not sure about other spirits. Destruction doesnt but doesnt affect the party. Those are the two main spirits I use though.

No need for this, just use a little something I call "THINKING"
IF [skill]Life[/skill] is recharged on you bar, it's a really good guess that there is not one currently on the playing field.
Same goes for most other Spirits, other than Bloodsong or Pain maybe, but it hurts nothing to simply drop a new one of those. They are low energy AND not super important in most builds.
And heaven forbid you acctully glance around the battle field and see whats what, you may learn something once in a while doing that.
Oh yeah, use them icon in the upper left too, take the blinders off boy.

you're a spirit spammer, you spam spirits, the moment one of your skills recharges you put it up again.

If you want to know which spirits are still up, look around the battlefield ...

I rather roll my head over the keyboard and win.

I don't think it's half as bad an idea as some are making it out to be, but you do have some visual and auditory cues as to when a spirit has expired (when you hear that spirit moan or you see the little dot on your compass vanish, it's time to plant another one).
/partialsign. Do look at your compass and pay attention to the battlefield every now and then, you'll be more efficient that way.

meh I'm going to 1/2 sign this. I'm not sure thats the way to do it but it would be nice to for the rit to have some idea what he has up, like a spirit counter or something.

/unsigned. Minions all tend to be a much of a muchness, spirits you can only have one of each up at a time... There's a fundamental difference in the way the classes are played. You don't need bodies, so you can continually spam your spirits whether they're dead or not. if there's less than three it's pretty clear if you have some or not. Minions move around as well, spirits don't. They just sit there chained to the ground. It's not hard to remember where you put them...
Smurf Minions
wuts a imporvment?

My suggestion is to stop being bad and run something other than a spirit spammer.

The spirit spammer spams spirits. Simple as that. The ones that last a long time, such as pain and shadowsong, don't really make much difference replacing every once in a while.

Only one of each spirit can be raised at the same time.
It's not like minions, which can be be more.
Instead of that, I'll add black-background icons for the Ritualist effect monitor for the offensive spirits that won't show.
