I have a guild called battle for your life and weve had it for about 1 yr now. I recruit about 3 times a week and get a few ppl, and now i have about 20 players in the guild. Most ppl i recruit leave. Where is a good place to recruit and also got any tips for a noob guild?
thanks

Pick an appealing feature of your guild, and stick to it. Cause if you don't, it's just another lame guild. Don't just be another one of those guilds claiming they "do it all" with every single GW acronym in the recruiting messages, because simply put, they don't.

i.e. Guild recruiting PVE/FARM/AB/PVP/RA/TA/GVG/HA/1V1... yeah ok.

Have one thing your guild is about that people would want to join for, and enforce it. Give them a reason to stay.

As posted above, make sure you have your guild has its specialty. Also make sure you keep your members active by setting up events. For example if your guild is into pvp, set up Scrims, Ta teams, and other PvP things. Also if you are planning to set up a site, encourage your members to sign up and get on at least a couple times a week. If you plan on getting ventrillo, also encourage you guild members to get one even though they dont have mics. This will probably keep you guild in tact better than just making a guild and saying you do a lot of things.

hosting parties, scavenger hunts, and just get-togethers work good as well... and as said before, the best way to KEEP (as you probably don't have any problems getting) members in your guild is to specialize in doing one thing. Sure, you'll get less people joining, but they'll actually stay!

Just for myslef but, What about recruting? That is my problem right now. I just started my guild, so there really isnt anything I can say about it. (like something special about my guild I "enforce")

Thanks

Well first off, decide what you would like to do with the guild. (HA,GvG,High-end PvE,ect...) As you recruit, add things like Guild XXX Recruiting new members for High-end things: DoA,HM FoW/UW or things like that. After recruiting some loyal members, start adding things like forums for daily schedules of things including doing FoW/UW/DoA and things like that. I would advise to have schedules for different things everyday because it would seem wack to do FoW everyday of the week. >.>

Something that probably sounds a bit silly, but make sure that in the beginning, most of the members are from the same timezone. Nobody likes to play if they're the only one online.

Know your members, play with your members. Guild forums outside of the game help the guild to bond too.

Other than that and what has been offered above I really can't help. Most guilds I've been in started as a small group of friends which recruited from friends we made in the game, rather than via advertising.

also, don't make people officers just because they were the first to join the guild.

I'd definitely go check the Guild Discussion part of the forum too.
