Thermaltake fridges
Snograt
Well, sort of.
Apparently it was at CeBIT but I saw no talk of it. Basically, it's a micro-vapor condensation type thing. Thermaltake say it offers temperatures around 20C lower than average water cooling rads.

Sounds intriguing.

Awesome, I hope it's more user-friendly, and not as dubious and all as water-cooling.
However, I bet that is going to cost an arm and a leg, and then some.. so either way, it will be another window-shop for me, something that I'll never have.

I've always thought to myself that I would get myself a mini fridge to use as a chassis if I ever needed extreme cooling. Store your drinks and food in it too!
Brianna
And in the other machine, put in mineral oil.
Then you can cook French Fries and other things in there. Hmm..

Well with water cooling, you can't go below sub ambient temperatures. So evaporation/condensation must take place if it you're to expect low temps in a hot place.
That looks kinda expensive, kinda thing you'd pay a price for... every month... on the electric bill.

Sounds noisy, I wonder how silent they'll really be.
Aera
Haha it looks so awesome, but yeah it will definitely be really expensive. I'm sure there are enough fanatics willing to spend their savings on it though
Snograt
That's overclockers for you - money no object. Without fanatics, Thermaltake, CoolerMaster, Arctic et al would go bust.
Lord Sojar
You mean like this, only worse?

Unless Thermaltake makes it under 300 bucks, anyone investing that much money in PC cooling will go with the above option, hands down. When you build a rig that expensive, what is 500 bucks in the grand scope of things?

sounds cool, however i think it'll be to expensive for normal people.

It's just a matter of time now before the cooling with nitrogen is used in production coolers
LockerLoad
As if PCs didn't already consume enough electricity. At least with water cooling you only add the current draw of a pump to your system,
