As many of you know, recently in the market their has been a huge spam of Island Guardians for sale. This includes those unded and dedicated ones. Im not a very high minipet trader but I would like to know why everyone is selling theirs right now, and why are they going for way cheaper then they usually go for (from 2500 ectos to 1500e).
I would greatly appreciate your knowledge on this.

i think its becouse all prices are dropping fast, so people want the gold or ecto before the prices are dropping further

Because it's a player driven economy. If people want to sell their stuff voor 2000 ecto, but no-one is buying, prices drop.
If people are only buying for 1500 ecto... prices drop even more.
If 10 people suddenly decide they want to sell their (same) mini's, prices drop.
Or the sellers just want to get their duped Mini's sold.

Weird how Island Guardians are one of the rarest pets to get hold of yet all of a sudden they are being sold all over the place
Same happened with pandas a few months ago and a few weeks ago the uber-pet mini polar bear was seen being sold by about 10 diff ppl (yet there was supposedly only 2-3) you would think they changing hands and being resold but all the prices were very similar
new dupe a-net havent found yet possibly?

But they AREN'T being sold all over the place, there's only a few up for sale, and they haven't been sold. Just because lots of people WANT one, doesn't mean they are getting them.

Most of the so called bidders are fake. It's quite surprising how so many people have stacks of ecto all of a sudden.
It's well known half the people that bid in high end just do it to boost their e-peen.

And as far as duping... the last new duping method was patched just 2 or 3 weeks ago. Remember the "fixed exploit" patch with no explaination? But the perm banned people involved...who are now of course back... said it just involved items that could be consumed or used up (ie. dyes, keys, etc...) Pets couldnt be duped as far as I heard, but I could be wrong.

I heard from a friend who knows a guy whose cousin works at Anet. FYI in a few weeks they are adding another scavenger hunt for the Island Guardian just like the black moa chick. Materials required for a single Island Guardian are: 25 Mursaat Tokens, 25 Patches of Simian Fure, 25 Water Djinn Essences, 250 Jade Wind Orbs, and 80 Lunar Fortunes.

The Island Guardian was the only mini I wanted, so I hope more end up being added so the price drops like a rock. It's not like the majority of people who actually have the Island Guardians even like them...

As for the Islang Guardians, seems a lot of those are just being resold all the time.
Not to mention now there are so many on sale, and the price is dropping, it seems the people who have one think they should sell now before the price drops further. Kinda a downward spiral I'd say..
