My question is if you buy an undedicated pet, or sell a dedicated one, who has "control" over the pet?
What if the person that has it dedicated deletes his account.
Can both people display their pet?
What happens when GW2 comes out?
Well I guess these are more than just one question, but any answers, as always, will be greatly appreciated.

"control" is whoever is currently in possession of the mini.
A mini will never become "undedicated" even if the "dedicator" deletes the account
The person who dedicated the pet has it in their Hall of Monuments, the person who bought the pet cannot put in in their own HoM
The person who has the dedicated pet, no matter who originally dedicated it, may sell it, trade it, or "bring it out" (follow you around) like any other mini.
There is virtually no info on GW2, but it will be the person who originally dedicated it, not the person who currently possess the mini, that will benefit.

If you buy a dedicated mini then no matter what happens to the orginal owner it will remain dedicated and cannot be dedicated again.
If you buy the mini then it becomes yours and yours alone; I'm not sure the details have been released, but the theory is that by unlocking items in the HoM it will unlock a bonus in GW2 that whilst not giving you an advantage will allow you to stand out from players who haven't. So say you had a mini Koss and you dedicated it, you can then sell said mini and he will remain on display in your HoM; the buyer can then use Koss, but cannot display it in his/her HoM.

--Nothing happens to the minipet

--Only Anet knows, but it can only be a positive if it's dedicated in your HoM.
