Hi guys, I have been so stupid today

Let me tell my story:
This day I was hanging out in RA and after a while I exchanged my factions for Zaishen keys. Because I'm going for the zaishen title I decided to open the chests. Result: An Everlasting Phantasmal tonic! I was so happy. I even started a thread in High-End forum to sell it. Because I couldnt wait I decided to try to sell it ingame. After a few low offer (>90e) I got an offer of 140e. Off course I didnt really trust it but I thought "lets give it a try". He invited me in a party and he went outside in explorable area (outside kamadan). Then he asked me to drop it off course I thought he was going to scam me or zone (since he was close to the portal).

Then he went far away (even out of my range) and I decided to drop it - I know very very very stupid

- and by the time I realised he was comming closer, he used return and took the tonic

seconds later he left and went "offline".

I think I was blinded by the gold (or should I say ectos?)

Is it even reportable? Technically, the scammer didn't do anything illegal. Was his name grayed out when he was far enough away?

Do you know if he used Recall or Shadow Meld?

I'm sorry that you had this bad experience. Actually, this is the first time I heard of this one. Thanks for reporting and I don't care that you didnt black out the screen shot. Might save someone else from falling for the same trick. It amazes me how many people will cheat in this game and how creative they are at it, and how many people actually think it's cool. If they spent a fraction of the time they spend thinking up cheats actully playing they wouldn't have to CHEAT. And it is cheating.

I'm pretty sure that no matter what support you contact, they're not going to be able to comprehend helping you after seeing you getting conned by the first lesson in Scamming 101.

It isn't cheating when they use skills in the method they were designed to be used. Was it wrong that this guy did it? Yes. Should he be banned? Probably. Does the OP deserve sympathy? No. That's the easiest method to scam someone, and the OP should have known better. Add to that the fact the OP had a belief he was going to get scammed and played along anyway and there goes the sympathy factor.

go to www.guildwars.com, support, ask a question. Check the policies and it states that scamming is against the rules. Report with screenshots.

As was said you won't get it back but he might have action taken against him.
