Skip Cutscene and Leave Group
joshuarodger
yes i read the sticky and saw the skip cutscene threads, but this option wasn't mentioned, as far as i saw. this would only apply to the end cinematic of missions/quests. leaving the group in the middle of a mission is just plain bad form.
when a mission/quest is over, everyone gets the standard "skip" option but also has another option to "leave group & skip scene" option. this way, the people that want to watch the cinematic can still do so, whereas those who have already seen the cinematic or just don't care to watch can move on to the next mission or go on to something else if they prefer.
when i played through each game the first time, i always chose to watch whatever scene was playing so i could follow the story, so i understand those that don't always choose the skip option, but always hated it when someone bitched about "who didn't skip, noobs". and now that i've played through missions and am going through for masters on all of them i don't really enjoy waiting for the scene if someone doesn't skip it. of course i can just do it with H/H, but i kind of like helping out low-level characters by letting them join my party with level 20 heroes in early missions. i don't whine about having to watch the scene afterward but it can be annoying.
omg, i'm about to get flamed.

It can't hurt, and would be a nice option to those players who have taken multiple PvE characters through the game and don't really care to hear Togo self-narrate again!

This gets annoying when you are performing a certain service to someone/group, and you have someone not skipping cutscene at the end.

Well, I have to say some missions annoy me watching the cutscreen because you can tell they were just filler afterthoughts (or written by people who hadn't slept in 3 straight days). Sometimes its not even the cutscreens that irritate me. I hate waiting for togo in minister cho's estate. I just want to hack him to pieces and tell him to open all the gates at once so I don't have to wait for him

Thankfully, this option is already available in PvP formats like AB and HA. Unfortunately, they work differently than PvE. If someone in PvE were to skip ahead of the group, they could accidentally, or purposefully, wreck the whole team's effort at completing a goal.
I would support this for final cutscenes before warping back to a town or outpost, and I would still leave the option to skip the cutscene with the rest of the group, in case the group wants to skip the scene but stay together.

/signed for final cutscene's so someone doesn't have to waste time watching and can move on. As much as I'd like it for the middle ones people would aggro something into everyone else. But I say ahead of time, skip or I will leave, when I don't have the time so they are aware of the risk.

For the final cutscne, this actually makes a lot of sense. I can't believe I haven't heard this idea in guru before.

/signed. I hate having to watch cinematics multiple times, due to me having different PvE characters.

Absolutley /signed. I hate having to hang around after a mission is over just so a newbie can watch a cutscene i've seen a million times.

When you enter areas and people is loading, they stay gray, but still inside the team, until they load.
That could be done too for cutscenes. Those that skip do not have to wait for the rest, and get directly to the next area, whle the rest stay in the cutscene. Once they finish they get back to your team.
And you could leave the team anytime while they are still watching the cutscene.

/signed for final cinematic. Otherwise, you have to close the programme and then log back in.
Expect to see this in GW2, but it won't be added to GW1...

Anyways, /signed. Sick of waiting for cutscenes because ONE person didn't want to skip because they're afk, griefing, or want to see it. That's one reason I tend to avoid PUGs.

I kinda did the opposite as a newb, i always skipped even when i wanted to watch all the cutscenes b/c i was usually with higher level guildies who really did not want to watch cutscenes again. Now that i've beaten all the games, i kinda wanna go back and watch them all again, to get the storyline straight.
This would've solved that problem long ago
