Acolytes of Anguish [aOa] is a mature predominantly high-end PvE guild. We are a Kurzik guild in the [kiSu] alliance with a membership total of about 75 PvE-ers. At this time we are recruiting to rebuild some of our active membership as a small handful of our folk have recently picked up AoC (boo! ).
To make sure prospective recruits best fit in with our goals, we require that they meet a few standards:
You MUST:
- Own and have completed Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and GWEN on at least one primary character;
- Have Ventrilo installed and a working microphone... for the required ventrilo interview;
- Be 18+... with exceptions on a case by case basis;
- Display a willingness to learn and share a common set of goals... i.e. hard-mode, dungeons, elite areas and above all having fun!
There are a couple other things to note:
- New recruits will have a two week probationary period.
- Prospective recruits should contact either Witch Queen of Urth, Angels Sight or Illfated Fat after they have posted an application in the forums.
Guild Expectations
In order to keep things running smoothly, a few guidelines have been implemented that the members of [aOa] are expected to follow.
1) No Drama... within or outside the guild. Personality issues rarely come up but if they do please try to solve any disputes as amicably as possible. Talk it out with the person you have a problem with. If it can’t be solved that way talk to an officer or the guild leader.
2) Be on vent while in game and not in the AFK channel. There are some exceptions (i.e. PvPing on another vent) but your participation with the guild via ventrilo is an expectation that will be enforced. Almost every group we form is done so via ventrilo. We also heavily utilize ventrilo while running groups so your ability to hear what's going on is very important. For new recruits, it’s especially important so we can get to know you better and you can be a part of the converstation.
3) Be active...
a. With your guildmates – one of our main expectations of a member is that you join a guild to play with them. Please make a point of hanging out with us!!
b. Show up in game – after one month of inactivity, you will be removed from the guild. To avoid being removed from the guild for inactivity over a month, post a thread on the forum/PM an officer and let them know you will be gone for more than a month.
We are looking for prospective long-term mature members. If you meet the above criteria, really enjoy high level PvE, a lot of activity, grouping with proficeint players and opening the end chest of hard mode areas, please visit our forums and post an application.
