beating nightfall question

Hi, i finished consulate docks.

I got sent to a place called Sunspear command post or something, and now my primary quest is , The Hero Shall Lead them", which tells me to get Sunspear General rank.

Is there nothing I can do besides being forced to farm 1500 sunspear points...? And if that's the case, whats the quickest way to do it..

there are other quests to do along the way.... finish hunted! and get koss back, there should also have been a bunch of quests back in yolon haven to do for the sunspear points.....you can also check out wiki for the quests available in the area. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quests_%28Nightfall%29

Building the Base and The Dejarin Estate give plenty of sunspear points.

So, how do people not have Sunspear General (r7) by the time "And a Hero Shall Lead Them" becomes available? Do people just not bother doing available quests (I'll admit I'm a bit anal about it and have a printout of the quests in each area that I use as a checklist) or taking the bounties at each shrine they happen to pass? I know I never farmed and had just under 3000 SS points by the time I finished rescuing Koss (admittedly I only did it 'cos I ran out of easy-to-find quests in the southwestern explorables )...
