2nd Rainbow Phoenix?

I did the search function and found pages and pages of stuff regarding the rainbow phoenix but have yet to find the answer to my question.

I already have a rainbow phoenix, but I trained it wrong. I'd like to try again. Will a second rainbow phoenix show up in my HoM if I turn my current one over to a tamer?

I figure that it will, but don't want to risk it on the chance I can't get a replacement. Does anyone know for certain?

One will show up even if you still have your old one. You just need to go in the HoM alone. ^_^
