Tetsubo Unique Animation

Can someone who uses a Vera or Tetsubo hammer verifies whether when a character equipped with it does a K'D, the animation is different from normal hammers? As in the character held the hammer vertically and thrust it down instead of swinging it downwards.

its not just with those two, my female warrior uses that animation all the time with her copper crusher.

I've had some weirdness with the tetsubo animation. I'll be using a regular hammer with the normal KD, swap to the tets, do that animation, then for the rest of the session I do the tets animation no matter what hammer I'm using. No idea what it's about.

Here is the difference between the two:
Thats with a destoryer maul and its the original animation where you bring it up, then it starts to curve down.
Heres the tetsubo animation where the character holds it vertically.
