Solo Silverwood W/Mo Build
Xer0
Template Code: OQMU84IRvqOEMBDek894X4rFE5BA
This build can solo pretty much anything in Silverwood...I find it to be a pretty good farm for the items you can merch back with salvageable hilts, etc...
Deadly Riposte
Riposte
Standing Slash
Silverwing Slash
Galrath Slash
Flail
Shield of Regeneration {E}
Balthazar's Spirit
Attrib:
12 Prot Prayers
5 Str (minor)
10 Sword (supe)
10 Tactics
Equipment: I use a Vampiric Sword of Defense, and a Zealous Sword of Fortitude, Vampiric for the Maguuma (Centaur) Protectors because Riposte's don't hit, and Zealous when aggroing Trolls, Seeds, etc, and Riposte's are of effect to gain energy quickly. Shield maybe a -2dmg in stance/+30hp? Geoffer's Bulwark, or Ahhrassh's Aegis for example.
Armor: Max Armor will do, I use 3 knights runes, and a hp +30 rune with 1 or 2 vitae.
The Solo:
Pre-Cast BS when entering the area, aggro whatever group you wish to find and keep SoR up at ALL times, or else there's a very good chance your aggro, and if it's mass aggro it will happen, will kill you. When you find yourself very low on energy after a mass aggro or whatever, cancel Balthazar's Spirit, and let it regen, then recast, let en regen, then go. When fighting Maguuma (Centaur) Protector's in group, go for them first because they are just a pain in the ass when healing the rest, especially if they're are 3+, use a vamp sword for this because Riposte's don't hit them, unless you preffer a sloooow run.
Thoughts: Maybe take out Standing Slash, and put in Bonetti's for better En Regen?
Let me know what you guys think, first go at making an actual solo/farm build...

Cancel Balthazar's Spirit and let your mana regen, then cast Balthazar's again. The wording isn't great but you can't tell me you couldn't even understand it...

Man, this build doesn't make any sense. Try again ^^'

First bit sounded like he meant that if you dont keep SoR up it will cause bigger than usuall aggro that will kill you. Meh, he could be foreigner so its ok. Seccond i understood, but why should be at low energy after mass aggro if you had balthazars on. Anyhow, canceling - waiting for full - recasting - waiting for full takes longer than waiting with one pip. say warrior (20 ene max) is at 0 energy with balth. he can either wait 60 second to max out OR he cancles, waith for max energy (30s), casts balth and waith for max out (30s) It's equal. If warrior energy at start is any higher just keeping to pay upkeep is faster: say warrior is as 5 energy (45sec waith with balth on, or 22.5 + 30 = 52 secs by recasting) Only benefit or recasting is that you have something to do and don't get bored afya

What do you use BS for?? for canceling and recasting, huh? ShadowsRequiem

What do you use BS for?? for canceling and recasting, huh? Dunno I'm not sure if he understands that Balths is your e-management. Maybe just if you are low on energy after a mob you can cancel it and reapply it. Thats prolly what he means.. Sethellington I don't get it... A Leprechaun
I can't believe you are all getting in such a state over this, its an extremely simple build, a concept that has been around for years. Yes it does works and no its particularly profitable.
But thanks for posting anyway, its good to keep new ideas coming through and not just the same old spots. ~A Leprechaun~ Abonai Laguna
Dont be negative, it might not be uber-profitable, but its a good place to farm for the farmers who are learning the tricks.
Thanks for posting Keep up the thoughts Snow Bunny
Your effort is admirable, but I can tell you're not getting the great drops from this, if only because you're using a rune of Minor, and not major/superior vigor.
Do you have Eye of the North, Factions, or Nightfall? if you're looking to farm for money, I suggest a 55 monk or the like. It's much safer. Xer0
I have all 4 on one account, I'm actually American, lol sorry for the bad grammar? Yeah, It's just something different, I don't have hard mode yet, I'm working on it but can't get past the Eternal Grove mission in Fxons =X. Main reason I don't like farming all the farmed spots is for that obvious reason -- it's farmed, and it seems like everything is dropping in price now-a-days...don't have a ton of gold in-game, like a lot of others apparently lol quite a few of my friends have upwards of 300k. I've tried soloing FoW but it doesn't seem to be too profitable, shards don't drop a whole lot for me =X, i've gotten 2 or 3 over at least 20 runs...though I'm working on my E/Mo, and trying to make her into the UW 4-Part Solo Build - http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10260621
as for the low energy/low regen I use a Zealous Sword of Fortitude and Vampiric Sword of Defense like I said :P thanks guys and sorry if it sucked :P |
