Glazed interface mod--comes in 'Graphite' and 'Classic GW'
RavenGT
Uh haha, yeah DarkNecrid. You could've reread the thread, been answered once before or probably more. So don't make it seem like it's my fault.
Been. Answered. Before.
All kidding aside, I fixed everything and is ready for release, but before I do that I need a confirmation if there are any more problems.

Slim compass / hero controls / modified aggro circle / spirit range circle
edit: Oh and, NO 50% marker, kthx.

I know they're just tweaked defaults, I honestly can't redraw them all in this tiny space I have to work with.
DarkNecrid
Just a critique, but I'd make the text white to fit in with the rest of the mod. (if this is possible)
All the rest of the text is white on black, sooo. :P
Obviously not TOP PRIORITY but throwing it out there.

Not possible, sorry. (to my knowledge and experience, at least)

Awww, ok.
It looks very nice, can't wait.

Something you may want to consider if that comes up a lot is if you have a fair amount of suggestions for a certain feature that you may not agree with, just put out another version of the mod for those that do. For my "wiki-like" skills mod, I later put out a separate version, as people were requesting the enchantments to be a more noticeable color, like blue. (Turns out when I changed it, I liked the blue more anyway, lol.)
(Also seeing this mod has made me want to overhaul that one of my own, it seems the skills are a lot brighter than they should be, plus I want to tweak the borders..)
RavenGT
SIGH, it's done. It's over. Check first post.

Wha, didn't know about this one texmod. Excellent work, can't wait to try it. I'd want this thread sticked.

just noticed something with the corners for the boxes.. (as i have my interface completly re-set out) ill post a few images later for u to look at.
Channel_V93
The only thing I didn't like was the line in the skillbar and you fixed it.
This is the reason I'm always gonna run texmod when I run Guild Wars.

So why exactly no 50%? Because all you said is kthx. Just wanna know
DarkNecrid
Don't suppose you could make an alternate version that readds the reflection thing for skills? :S
I really REALLY liked that.

Doesn't happen over here, I just booted up GW and tested it on all interface sizes. It must be the way your computer are rendering these.
Akaraxle
Ok, I just tested the UI and I have two observations to make:
1) I noticed the target casting bar turns to "normal" on completion; probably that bar hasn't been skinned yet.
2) This might be related to my slight difficulty at perceiving "close" colors, but I've played one GvG with the UI and I had to focus (rather than glance) on the party window to realize when a player was low on health or dead.
I think the red is too bland, and the grey too bright - color blind people, or people with minor color deficiencies like me, might be affected. Perhaps you could make a version where the contrast between those colors is more apparent?

I thought the health bar -- whether it's red for health or a certain color for a condition/hex -- contrasts quite well with the UI's blue.

I only posted expecting someone else that suffers from similar color issues to agree. What I'd personally like is the red to be more "blood", and the gray to be darker -- the rest of the colors are fine; but again, I'm not expecting anything until it is proven that it's not just me

Is there a way to use mods just by clicking one icon? Not the all things to do in texmod (about 5 clicks (?)) :?

That bug was fixed in the next version... atleast it is on mine

Picture 1: The frame is there. It's the golden border at the very bottom of the skill.
Picture 2: True.
Picture 3: This happens with every UI texmod mod. Just ignore it.

As DarkNecrid said, #1 has nothing wrong with it. Okay so it might be my crappy design of showing it's an elite skill, but it's there. It's just blended in with SF's yellow flame. #2, well, yeah I never took PvP into consideration so I didn't actually go in and test in PvP. I partially blame this on the Guild Wars engine. Why are there duplicate texture files for different situations when they look exactly the same? The inventory equip background is the exact same as the hero equivalent, yet they are two different files. Same goes for the party frame in PvP, there's no reason why they should be different. It just makes it so inconvenient for the modder, sigh. And #3 is just a common Texmod behavior. If you see any graphical anomalies, just minimize/restore GW, or toggle post-processing. I'll go ninja edit the files and reupload as I really don't want to release another version with just a few minor glitches.

Great Mod, love the update but there is still a bug that I have noticed. I didnlt see anyone else point it out but if someone did I'm sorry for repeating it.
The bug is at the end of the skill cast bar. Burring the last frame when the skill bar goes to the faded one, it changes back to the old skin. I'll get some screens of what i mean.

Heya RavenGT. I appreciate you fixing the files, even though its the fault of Arenanet's file arrangement. Been using your awesome UI and it is lovely. Adds an extra spice to GW.
RavenGT
Thinking about it again, it's probably not Anet's fault nor that is exactly how the GW engine naturally behaves. Perhaps it's the way Texmod is outputting the files.
DarkNecrid
No Raven, the first PvP skill update broke most of the already existing UI mods. I used the GW Beta UI mod before the PvP/PvE skill update, and it worked just fine in PvP areas, but it is now broke too.
I think instead of just flagging certain skills to get changed in certain areas, they may of literally split both sides as two different "games", each using their own textures for certain things for...NO REASON WHAT-SO-EVER.

I really like your mod. Nice photoshop skills!
You have more Texmod projects? I'll keep you in mind.

I don't mind the new interface although I didn't mind the default interface either. Just a few things I really hate about your interface...
The picture above shows the attributes menu. The numbers referring to increasing or decreasing an attribute are really hard to read (especially when it's greyed out)
The picture above shows the chat box. The trade tab is selected, although this is not obvious. The visual differences between a selected and unselected tab is not much, I want my tabs to look more obvious when I've selected one.

I do like this interface, enough to use it all the time now, just a few things I would like changed. If the Raven could implement my recommendations or at least consider some of them, that would be good.
- The suggestions above (3 posts up)
- Adding North, East, South, West to the compass above the existing plain arrows
- A small white X on windows (close window button) instead of just a plain red box

On some zones, I get a huge random texture on my screen.
Sometimes it's below my char, but there's times where it covers my entire screen and I can't see anything.
How can I fix this? It's not 100%, many times it works great (beautifully, I might add), but that problem arises in the midst of a dungeon and is reason enough for me not to use texmod :X
I wish I could, this UI is really amazing.

its a standard texmod error, just alt tab a couple times.

I run GW in windowed mode - should I just switch focus?

Why can't these problems be fixed? Who made texmod and why isn't there an update to fix this?
Shawn The Divine
Someone called "RS" made Texmod. It was originally used to mod Tomb Raider 7, and even they're not sure if RS made it for Tomb Raider 7, or if it was created beforehand and someone came across it.
I don't find it a huge deal, but I run in windowed mode, so if I run into the issue a minimize/restore to fix it takes about 2 seconds.

I've tried a LOT of UI mods because the GW UI is getting rather boring looking after three+ years. This one is absolutely the best! beautiful work. Very sharp and clean.
The only problem I have is that the graphics in my compass are blurry. I see from the sample picture that you don't have the same problem, any idea whats happening?
