Rune Traders are NPCs that sell runes and insignia. Unlike merchants, the price of the runes are based on supply and demand from the player base, so it is possible that a rune trader may not have a particular rune for sale, or they may not buy a particular rune.

What I still want to see is that Rune Trader (or heck any trader) gradually raise his "buy" price higher and higher when he's sold out until he starts getting players selling to him. Sure there'd be attempts to game the system - but you'd be taking a chance on waiting for the next level that someone else wouldn't show up and sell to the trader for the "lower" higher price.

Luckily I'm smart enough to keep all those scrolls that dropped during FoW/UW and boss farming in my storage and make even more profit.

This rune made money. I did 3 UW solofarm runs today and had a total of 25 ecto's. (8+8+9) Now the dissapointment will be great if the next run earns less than 5. Never thought this farming was so easy.

I would suggest you go farm Canthan Tunnels to bad Sins can't farm it an officer got one in about 10 min out.He just 55ed it in HM to bad Sins.Warriors can do this to.

Originally bought a major for 440 gold and got lucky the other day when purchasing a Sup Death Arts rune there happened to be a Sup SA run for 1.1k. I usually don't carry more than a few hundred gold on me, but I had just been doing UW runs so was carrying 10k. Pretty lucky. Not that it mattered because its didn't really speed up my time.

Bought a major rune for 550g a few mins ago. Then there were no left, which means that I bought the last one. Lucky I guess.

EDIT: WOOT, now I got the Superior one. And run out of stock again, lol.

Took me FOREVER to finally get a superior. Before bed one night I decided to check the trader one last time just for the heck of it and BOOM...superior available. So I quickly snagged two before they sold out again.

And yes...Major works just fine for the build(s). Although those have been sold out as well. :/

The same day the build was introduced, Superiour runes were already gone, The day after, even Major runes were out of stock, I just managed to get one for 150g or so. Now they're all gone, and players can ask whatever they want for one. That's rubbish.

That's supply and demand in the real world, do you think food just magically appears in stores where you buy it? Don't you remember the madness when toilet paper was in short supply lol stores were running out of it all over the place. There is no such thing as unlimited supply that's why gasoline prices are running so high as well everyone is storing it up and we're having to pay the price because they KNOW the DEMAND is EXTREME and we'll pay just about anything for it not to have to walk or ride a bike. Get used to it everytime there's something that makes one particular class stand out the runes are the first things to disappear. Remember when monk superior runes were sky high? Over 10k each cause of the 55 solo monk builds. So, just dig deep into your ingame pocket book and shell out that 10k for a minor or superior or major shadow rune(s).

For the monk runes it was bad. The 105hp and 55hp builds were out and people needed 5 sup runes, so all the sup monk runes were ranging from 10-20k each.

Well, Assassin and Ritualist runes drop only in Factions, and most people is in Nightfall and Eye of the North.

No, "Unlocking" lets you use them on PvP characters. What's in the vendors' lists depends entirely on what is being sold to the vendor.
