I'd like to put in a vote for a forum that deals with Guild specific discussions and issues. There are a wide range of Guild issues regarding various approaches, structure, administration, community and website tools, RPG, PvE, PvP, GvG, etc., that it could likely be a very active forum.
As the Guild Auditorium is a bulletin board for recruiters, and not designed for general discussions, there's really no place for these kind of discussions other than the Riverside Inn. I've had many questions come up while trying to design and organize a guild, and am never really sure where best to post these. I'd really like for them to be seen by other Guild owners/members, before getting drowned over in Riverside or Questions & Answers.
For researching, it would be so great to have all Guild related threads in a central location, rather than dispersed throughout the entire board. When one tries to run a search for Guild specific issues, adding the word "Guild" itself brings up just about every thread with "Guild Wars" in it, and makes the results list difficult to sift through.
A forum for Guild specific discussions

The Guild Auditorium was never intended solely as a bulletin board for recruiters. In fact, we've tried to put restrictions on just how recruiting could be done there so that some other discussion can take place. However, it has pretty much become a place to post your guild thread and move on and the more important guild-based discussion seems to get swallowed up. We're working on a solution that should pretty much remove the need for guilds to list themselves there and hopefully that will get rid of the problem.

That's good to hear. When I read through the GA forum rules, I did get the impression that it was for advertising one's guild only. There have also been a few guild topics started there that got moved or removed, which adds to that impression. Like early this morning, I was responding to a thread inquiring about RP based guilds and the level of community interest... and next thing I knew, it was gone and I couldn't for the life of me find it anywhere else. That's actually what inspired me to post this suggestion in the first place.

Well, our solution's gone live and you can check out our, hopefully, soon to be populous Guild Database.
As for your vanished thread, I can't find it anywhere either. You wouldn't happen to know the name of it, would you?

That searchable Database is a really great idea, and works very nicely. When you guys work on solutions, you do it very quickly.
The thread was something like "Real RPG Style Specific Guild" or something close, though I can't remember it exactly. The poster was asking a general question regarding the creation of an RP based guild, and wondering if there was a viable community interest in this sort of thing or not. The thread title didn't meet the guidelines for guild listings; but I perceived it more as a request for information before creating a guild, rather than as a recruitment listing.
It was posted today (5/11), really early in the morning, and had only one response when I decided to reply. I was going to discuss some of the pros/cons with running an RP based community in general, and the possible advantages of approaching RP through a cooperation of guilds rather than taking it on solo.

Ah ha. "RPG Style "Realistic" Guild (Discussion)" was deleted the other day. I'll have to check on exactly why but it's probably because it was something like a recruitment post in disguise (In other words, "Hey, join my guild which I'm making now" or "Hey, I'm going to ignore the stickied LFG thread and ask for a guild here".) which we don't really like to have around. I'd say just start up a new thread because it sounds like an interesting topic in and of itself.
