Turn off Vertical Sync, should do that.

But I don't recommend taking off vertical sync, there is no reason to take it off, all you need is 60 FPS.

true, the pc just doesnt want to stay at 60, it manages to reach 72 every now and then lol then gets shot back down instantly

what is vertical sync for anyhow? without it im getting 130+ at lowest and averaging about 190+ all maxxed settings at 1680x1050

vertical sync synchronizes the FPS with your monitor's refresh rate. if you are using an LCD (which i believe you are), this will completely eliminate the tearing effect when you rotate your camera with FPS above your monitor's refresh rate.

yes yes LG Flatron 22" Wide Screen. so its over 200% increase in frames or no ripping. doesnt matter either ways to be. human eye cant tell the difference of anything past 60fps anyhow. what frames are other people around here running?

Unless you have a very expensive monitor, it can't go faster than 60 FPS, so there's no point in asking your video card to. The extra frames will just be discarded.
