Well this is the thread for all you people who would like to share your misfortune by posting pictures of times you have died before you were able to get a drop.
I shall get the ball rolling by posting this pic as i was finishing up on a chaos plains run (with only 2 measly ectos may i add) and while running between mobs i swapped to my shiros blades to keep my health mow to stop scattering, and accidentally cast shadow form. Never mind i thought, i can kill them in one SF cycle, and as SF was running out i figured i should precast [Glyph of Swiftness] and [Deadly Paradox]
The sf icon read fully recharged as i hit it, however i got the message "That Skill is still recharging" i then saw this......(see picture)
To many of you a black dye may not seem like much, but hey its money to me. Keep the ball rolling with your pictures of misfortune. Note that i have seen the one with the gold q9 Eternal Blade and i feel very sorry for you.
EDIT: Perhaps an unclaimed items box even if you get a party wipe perhaps A-Net?
Things that make you angry

I don't have a picture, but this really irritated me.
I was in Piken's Square on a Level 9 newbie character. I had a bunch of the Diessa Lowland quests to finish up (you know the ones) and so I accepted an invite from a Level 10 ranger with a Level 6 elementalist. They said they wanted to get the quests done as well.
Next they invited a level 20 Warrior to join and he did. I said I'd rather not have a run and was going to leave, but we warped out before I could.
The warrior just took off while we're fighting the charr outside town. We killed the charr and I asked where the warrior was. He replied, "don't worry, I'm halfway to Diessa". We start running west and kill any charr we encounter. After killing the 2nd mob of Charr a Black Dye dropped for me.
(Yippee!!!!) This character could use the cash. At that exact moment the warrior zoned us to Diessa and I lost the dye.
Probably one of the reasons I still hate runs to this day. I don't accept runs for anything. I prefer to get my characters there under their own power even if it takes me a few extra days of leveling.

Lose HA games because of it, lose GvG games because of it, lose ecto because of it.........
What annoys me the most about it is that it only happens because of Anet cheaping off with servers, they were thinking of ways to solve the overloaded server problems when factions came out and the solution they came up with was to just half the communication with each client.
