What really makes you go "woah"?

I personally laugh my ass off, over people in Obsidian armours...and items of the same ilk.
Of my many characters, one of the them that stands out the most as actually having "character", is one of my warriors in pre-searing style armour.
It's one thing to have "money" in guild wars. It's also a rare thing to look like you "don't". I don't pretend that I don't buy the vanity items, I just think it's silly to feel like you need to flaunt them.

Amadei...
Are you telling me that you are missing the subtle "lookatme"....."please?" that's all around us? Getting that item or armour used to be an indication of achievement, but not so much anymore. It's drowned in a sea of "been there....done that".
That certainly dosen't dissuade people from standing around in their black dyed obsidian armours, feeling important. lol
On a side note:
The truly funny thing is, that no material "wealth" in Guild Wars means anything, anymore. You have the "new" class system that's brought down this game to the gutters. You have:
-the extremely wealthy (that either cheated/exploited their wealth, or got very lucky with a true semi-unique mini-pet/item drop)
-the "upper middle" class (worked their butts off, but have nothing to show for it above and beyond what can be honestly aquired by anyone with time and conviction...maybe a few stacks of ecto in the pantry).
-the "middle class" (those that can afford a few sets of elite armours/weapons, providing a little grinding action)
-the "lower class" (scraping by on items found and gathered through casual play, and not grinding. Still matching all those listed above in function, if not form)
What's the point? After you've done all the chapters (countless times on numerous characters), what's left?
Where's the "Whoa"? It's not in guild wars anymore. There's nothing epic or special in any achievement, or discovery....yeah, I guess I'm jaded too.
I guess thats what this thread is really about, isn't it? When's the last time you got excited about a drop, or a discovery? What motivates you now? It seems everything in this game is watered down, and communized.
I think we should start a new thread: "What was the last thing that really made you go whoa". I apologize fixating on the material thread of this whole "whoa" thing, but for me, it's what hurt GW the most in my eyes.

Once I got myself a droks run (long long time ago). The W/Mo was wearing 1.5k droks armor. I was thinking if he was a good runner, he probably should have ran enuf to afford better armors. Thus I had my doubts about his capbabilites.
When he started his run, I was "woah-ing" all the way. 1 of the best runner I had seen back at that time. This taught me not to judge by armor

First time I saw an elemental sword.
On the topic of armour, I get nice armour that I like for me. If others like it or hate it, fine. But I bought it with my money to make me look good in my eyes. The one piece of armour I'm truly proud of is my male elementalist's Ancient robes dyed black.

Nothing really has that "wow effect" on me anymore. It's more like..."Oh...one of those...".
EroChrono
I suppose seeing someone with a Kanaxai or Polar Bear minipet would sorta "Wow" me.
And people that pick unusual shields by choice, like Tower Shields or such. The more expensive the other equipment, the bigger the Wow in this case.

About the "woah" factor in GW, the usual FOW armor and stuff amazed me when I was n00b, but now great armor/weapon combos do it for me. I do the best I can with my limited money stores, although I have decent combos on all of my main characters (Black Dread Mask/Monument w/ Destroyer Staff on my Rit, white Monument w/ white Gloom Shield and Deldrimor Sword on my Warrior, brown Cathan (the swirly one ) w/ Golden Phoenix Blade and Tengu Focus on my Monk). I am pretty proud of these combos and of other ones I have seen in the game.

I whoa when I see a neat armor combo, not just 15k.
I whoa when I see a new player getting excited about stuff I find a grind.
I whoa when I see people making an effort to match weapons to outfits.
I whoa when I see people using 'common' weapon skins because they like them.
I whoa when I see 'A God Amongst Mortals' I mean they are a God, you should get a second look if your a God. Now only if a 'Smite Them!' skill came with that title....

Wyvern armor dyed black still looks better than most 15k armors IMO. I "whoa'd" the first time i saw it, never knew 1k could look so awesome :P

I saw a male Ranger the other night that made me stop and take a second look because I didn’t recognize his armor. Turns out it was a combination of 1k pieces - not dyed black - and it looked terrific.
I saw a female Dervish recently with armor dyed pale yellow and a female Elementalist with armor dyed peach. I always wonder what dye combinations they used to get those shades because they look so pretty.
I’ve seen more unusual looking characters lately too. Like the Nightfall Necro that spawned next to mine at Kaineng the other night. I swear it looked like an killer clown with DayGlo tufts of hair.
Someone mentioned getting exited about drops in an earlier post - I still do about some. The other night my Necro had two black dyes drop for him - one during the Ice Caves of Sorrow mission and the second when he was exploring Snake Dance. One to drop is rare, but two? Wow! The catapults should have stayed messed up.

Ages ago couple months after i started playing i was in an alliance guilds hall before we went to go cap skills in mineral springs.
This warrior decided to show me all his collection of weps, he had loads of these perfect tyrian weps, req 8's and all that.
I'd never even heard of req 8's and it made me "woah" in my head a bit, thinking of all the money they were worth lol.

I'd been playing maybe 3 months and was invited to do a FOW run with my guild. One of my guildmates was wielding a zodiac bow. First time I'd ever seen that skin and it was like 'woah'.
Saw a screenshot not long ago of a monk using an Aureate Aegis dyed a stunning reddish purple colour. It was so 'woah' and would match my armor dye so well I farmed my butt off to get one on my ele.
Also a few days ago in Kamadan Am1 I saw a polar bear mini for the first time. Its the ultimate precious impossible dream in GW for me. No way I'll ever be able to afford one, not in a year of 24/7 ecto farming.

Another thing that made me go whoa:
I was bored, loaded ToA on my monk and there was a forge run group looking for one. I thought I'd tag along. The warrior - who was getting armor - had a crappy bar and whatnot, but the rest of the team had stuff that made sense, so I went in anyways. Then he started asking questions about quests, how long did it take, what was FoW like... /facepalm. He had been playing for a decent time too IIRC, and I don't think he replied to me when I asked him if he had EBayed his money...

I went Woah only two times.
1) First time I used Splinter Barrage, when all arrows had hit enemies.
2) When on Hard Mode Deep I noticed how damn many minions has Kanaxai.

You have to finish the interrupt cast at the exact moment they start casting theirs.
It's mostly a twitch reflex, I just happen to be lucky.
