Hey, Would you like to see sellers & buyers post the final sales / purchase price of items? I've searched so many posts for prices & have been very disappointed. I posted this idea in the sell threads & it was removed. I also sent a request for a sticky to a Mod & was ignored. Let me know what ya think.....

Would be handy for people looknig to PC. However from what i've seen, most people just post "Sold Ingame for B/O", when in reality, it wasn't even sold for close to b/o. Essentially, after it is sold, they can post whatever price they want, to make it seem as if the value is higher/lower than what it actually is.

All in all, not enough honest people, and it would only be made a mockery of.

(ie: 12 yr old: Sold -50 cesta for 9999e ingame)
(ie: Sold for B/O *secretly sold for c/o*)

I have been asked by multiple (un named) people to post "bought for b/o", after purchasing an item from them for around s/b! Of course i never do that, but I am not everyone, and am not in control of what others may do.

I would love to see price lists of Greens, Pets, Rares etc... The ones that do exist are simply too outdated.
I used to go by the current price list to determine if I was paying a fair price and selling at a fair price.
Perhaps someone would like to do this again?

People who are knowledgable of the game/item prices have stopped playing/trading to update the price guides. Those who remained and know their stuffs probably do not want to spend 80% of their guild war playing time compiling a price guide.

And lately, people who posted new price guides have items but no price attached. It will take forever for the price list to be filled based purely on buy/sell posts.

Edit: On the topic of posting prices after a sales, I usually post my prices after selling my stuffs. But imo, its abit hard to "make" everyone do the same too. And ensuring they do so with honesty is a tougher issue.

The best one can do is to do a search, and from the recent sales threads, estimate the price from the c/o and how popular it is at that price range.

Eg: If loads of people are bidding 100k +20e - 40e, and the bidding came to a halt once it reached +42e, you can roughly estimate the max price one can get is about +40-42e.

I've had a few sales here on Guru and one thing i always do is include the prices things sold for. Like the OP says it helps a LOT when trying to find a current price, or at least a ballpark figure. You go into Ventari's, click "Search", enter what you're looking for and voila! You have a nice list of threads to look at with details of what the thing you want info on has sold for. Or at least that's what i'd like to see. Most of the time it just says "SOLD" or summut like it. Gets annoying.

I got frustrated with this a while back, and since I (used to) sell so much stuff on Guru Auctions, I ended up making a database of items that are being or have been sold. This not only helps me make sure that I don't make mistakes when listing, but through querying my history I can see what I previously sold X for and base my new prices on that.

While it would be helpful for people to post what they sold X for in the end, a lot of people don't have the motivation to do so, and as others have said, stickies take a lot of time and effort to maintain.

I normally just ask the buyer/seller how much they bought/sold the item via pm.... it bothers me a little if they dont reply! (doesnt happen much, most usually do reply)
