reporting scammers

as many people might have figured out, scammers have started or have been doing is getting past the /report. What they do is collect the money and then sign out before the person can report them and also ignore the person. Does anyone have ideas on how to fix this problem? my suggestion would be to get rid of the you have to be in the same district as the other one, perhaps maybe you can only report a person that you have been a teammate with or traded with?

the whole you have to be in the same dist thing is ridiculous, i hope they remove it but after this it shouldnt be a problem

I don't think scamming is a reportable thing or should be. With GWs trade it is impossible to get scammed unless you are a complete idiot. It tells you exactly what they are offering and if you are trading without the trade box you deserve loseing your stuff.

this was actually pointed towards the mission runs, ferrys, and that kinda stuff.

not towards item exchanges.

Well you shouldn't be doing that stuff anyways. You're supposed to finish missions, go to places, and other things through gameplay not runs, and ferrys. And if you are giving runs and ferrys and they scam you then it should tell you to stop.

A-Net don't consider any of that as scams, your only waisting your time reporting it. Try searching threads about runners getting scammed and see for your self.

My idea is don't be stupid enough to get scammed and mind your own business.

Some people might abuse of it

"Hey gimme that stacks of ectos for a lower price plz"
"No"
"Haha i just reported you f@#$%ing scammer"

getting alot of hostility towards me for looking out for a fellow guildie, i myself have gotten scammed and i paid for runs and a few ferrys and didnt get scammed, thats how some people make their money, CoF runs, runs to Droks, Santum Cay, Gate of Madness, Abaddon, and whatever, its apart of the economy in this game, but for people to take advantage of it, it doesnt seem right to me.

I feel that some people who are against might have scammed others themselves. thats why ive already submitted the idea to arena-net.

cuz its not really up to you, its up to them.

And Gail have on numerous occasions said that they will not take any action against runners who scam or people who scam runners.
This is not a new problem, thats why I told you to do a search on the subject.
