ok, think it is time for a new event where we can design new guild emblems. Because honestly imo, the ones we have are... well to put it nicely... awful.
and i know, with gw2 being worked on we won't get anything this fun to do while we wait.. but i'm not a patient person and would rather have something new besides another silly event.

Should I say, what this game really needs more ?
CAPE FORMS and CAPE BACKGROUNDS, because there it really LACKS...
We have now for over 3 years still only the few same borign lookng Cape Forms and Cape Backgrounds... there they really could add more !!!
Give us long Caps for example, that have the size of the cape from that guy from one of the BMP missions, that fights against the Charr... that Cape that chara has there, htat is really cooul, because it has the correct size for an epic cape, that Saul Guy
Too bad, that it gives only a front image of him in wiki
But capes like thta would be really wished, with such a size, and not only mini-capes, which go only to our asses in size
Nad we have only like a hand full of of backgrounds for Capes, where like 90% of it looks completely ugly and boring, endign up in the game, that 95% of guilds in GW use mostly ever all the same backgrounds:
the fire, the flowers, the cross and the little signs maybe, because all the rest disturbs the looks of the Guild Emblems and lets the whole cape look ugly.
Also Cape Trims could be somethign, that should be changeable (except something, like the bronze, silver, gold trim that you get from PvP), but give us at least something, that lets the cape look different, from standart oO
Really, the game has by far enough emblems. Much of those emblems you can't even recognize on the capes, cause on the capes they are too small, other then on the concept draws, where the emblems were much bigger...
If there should be a new contest imo, then it should be imo a Armor Set Contest for some new Elite Armors for a new Elite Area
Would be there one, I'd draw for example an Lightbringer Armor for Warriors.
Or like said a Contest for Cape Forms/Backgrounds
Maybe there should be a Contest also for Monsters/Bosses with the reward, that the winner Monsters become the Minipets for the 4th Year
That would be contests, what would really make more sense

cape backgrounds/length and different trim ideas would be nice also.. but nothing that would encroach on the pvp trim.. those are for those that work hard for it and don't think those should be copied.
and i wouldn't mind at all to see some of the emblems getting an overhaul.. some tweaking to where they actually look decent.. some have too much detail others not enough. some look like a 3 yr old drew them..

Once they get a separate programmer for GW1 as regina says, they ould have one annual weapon contest and another annual emblem contest.
But this time players would vote the winners, instead the developers.
