not abble to play 1 character after redownloading

just bought new pc after -image downloading unable to play 1 toon female ele stuck in rata sum says something about graffics not supported but only happens with her not any of the other 8 toons any ideas

Whats the spec of the new PC - sounds like your graphics card might be unsuitable.

I had a similar problem with a new Dell - stuck in Rata.

Do your other toons get stuck in Rata as well?

its a hp a6433w guessing only i can find about graffics is a intel g33 chipset or something and yes now ranger is stuck there

G33 uses GMA X3100... technically, it SHOULD support H&L, which is required for rata sum and vabbian areas.

try updating to the latest drivers for your integrated card and the latest directx9 (10 for vista).

I have a similar problem. My assassin character keeps getting stuck in Rata Sum on this comp. I'm currently using an HP pavillion d705w, with the basic specs. I would upgrade the sound cards and video cards, but I can't seem to find any that fit.

I double checked with Support when i had an Integrated card.

They said not good enough - and it is'nt.!!!!

Return it and use the refund to get another one - that has a scalable card.

have latest driver and dx10 no help[ though is it possible to upgrade to non intergrated graffics if so some help with a decent 1 would be nice

I know it's not helpful but just thought I should add that my guild leader was just suffering the same fate; he had to get his roommate (also a guildie) to log on as him and map him out of Rata Sum to get his main character going again. I think it's that giant thing in the middle spouting out energy that some graphics cards can't handle. He also couldn't go into one of the Realm of Torment places, Domain of Secrets I think.

Also, just as a check before suggesting going to buy a new card like he did - did you try lowering the graphics settings on one of your other guys, then switching over to your ele or ranger?

Run with the -noshaders switch?

-dx8 and/or -noshaders command line arguements should work.

If your characters keep getting stuck in Rata Sum it's safe to assume there is something your graphic's processor can't process there regardless of what armor your character may be wearing. Have you actually tried the -dx8 and -noshaders command switches? It's possible they won't work, but there will be little we can do to help you then. Upgrade your drivers to their latest or buy a new graphic's processor.
