For H/H, monk or paragon?

For h/h'ing through pve, given the ridiculously high damage reduction of the imbagon, would playing a paragon be better/easier for party-wide defense and damage reduction with SY! (what I always thought to be the point of prot spells) than a monk (who doesn't seem to greatly benefit from such pve skills)? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing a monk, and they are necessary. However, I'm just curious if it would make more sense for me to play an imbagon if my goal was to effectively and efficiently play a key role in keeping the party from dying (with h/h's playing healer instead)?

Thanks.

Playing paragon will be the easiest thing to do, especially with a build like the imbagon being available.
Playing with H/h is also easier on a para because on a monk, you'll still have to call target, stay within range of the enemie,.. for the h/h to attack something.

And Pleikki, how can prot monks be useless in H/h teams ?

You have what ... Aegis and Protective Spirit in there? And that's kinda all the protection you need for PvE. Well, next to a wall of minions ....

Para.
Always.
Because of the way the para works - a damage-dealer with protective abilities - it's a much better option then a monk for h/h.
You are going to need to direct your h/h to attack the right targets - so you might as well do some sweet damage while you are at it.
