Account ban...?

Ok so i saw one of those guys buying keys in a town and i guess i was just being ignorant gave him my key. He said he was going to pay me 50k but i was never payed. Later that day i got my account banned saying its against the rules or whatever to buy or sell accounts for in game money. IT also says its a permament ban. Is this right? I was never payed at all and the guy was a scammer anyways and got off with my key. Yet somehow i get banned. Would I be able to appeal the ban?

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read your post properly. Was thinking Zaishen Keys, not Account Keys.

Yes, it is against the EULA to buy, sell or trade account keys. GG.

The "buyer" just baited you to "sell" him the Account Key, then probably reported you for improper activity to Anet and they banned you.

You should, cuz technically you "gave" a cdkey/account away.
