The Dragoon is a melee warrior that relies upon his Lance/Dragoon (2 Handed Spear, NOT THROWN) to do his work, much like a Jouster, but on foot!

Explanation

The Dragoon, a melee warrior, that uses his experience with Lance/Dragoon to inflict many conditions, like Bleeding, Deep Wound etc. The Lance/Dragoon is a two-handed weapon, that requires extreme accuracy to inflict max damage, and also conditions. If the Dragoon is played at the right time, he can cause the battle favour to change dramically. He can take heavy damage, but as he is wielding a Lance/Dragoon, can sometimes be slow to attack.

Class Role

Damager - Simply takes the heat and gives the healers/buffers a chance to do their duty. Can cause conditional degen!

Armor Level

Light Armor - 75AL.

Energy Level

Medium Energy - 25 energy (More than a normal Warrior, but less than a Caster)

Range Type

Melee - Traditional Melee. Short Lance/Dragoon requiring great accuracy.

Attributes

Lance Accuracy - For each point on Lance Accuracy, the Dragoon has a 3%greater chance to hit for more damage.

Lance Mastery - No Inherent effect. Increases damage done by Lances/Dragoon attacks.

Jump Mastery - No Inherent effect. Increases damage done by Lance/Dragoons when jumping.

Stimulation - No Inherent effect. Increase the effect of close range combat shout.

Thoughts or suggestions would be great. And I aren't to good with words, so I hope it sounds OK. ^^

Made a few changes, due to some feedback ^^ Thanks for pointing the Range bit out to me Breakfast Mc Rit. It was 1.00am when I wrote it

Kind of like a warrior, but he can hit from further and has a higher AL? I'm not sure I really understand the range he has. If a warrior was going to go after him does that mean he has to constantly back away? And if not, does a longer melee range mean anything?

It sounds a bit game-breaking and redundant to me. :P

Here a half finished overworked Concept from me (had not the time lastly to finish that)
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ht=The+Dragoon

However, it does look far more like an originally concept for GW2, that sets kind of a new gameplay, that no other MMORPG yet has seen, plus my CC corresponds imo better to the image of how a Dragoon should/would look alike and work in the Game, especially due to the new Z-Axis, that GW2 will receive, it will be possible finally, to give the game a Profession, which's Gameplay is based on its Mount, giving that profession multiple different strategical possibilities on how to play it, like you shoose for a Ranger either to play as Spiker/Interrupter or more the strategical gameplay as Trapper or Spirit Caller, so would have the Dragoon together with its Mount in GW2 with its 3 Modes 3 different ways on how to play the role of that Profession.

Plus it adds to that Profession some kind of long term motivation, when you have also to be a kind of Grower, because as Dragoon you would start up first with just only a Dragon EGG and not a full grown up Wyvern.

Also this Setting would allow all Professions to have a Wyvern as Mount, but for Battles, only the Primary Dragoons would have from their Mounts the best results and thats imo kind of fair and thats the Way, how GW2 should work again, like GW1.

To your CC:

hmm, imo its way too much based just on only Lances. You are not a Dragoon, just for having only the Ability to wield Polearm Weapons and Jump Skills -.- Thats absolutely too borign and not worth to be implemented and also, like others said, it looks way to copied from just Final Fantasy. Dragoons are Dragon Knights, so when such an originally Profession gets implemented hopefully into GW2 (because they are cool and extreme rare in MMORPG's, not very much games have them as playable profession, so it could be a really good unique Class for GW2, also GW2 is all about Dragons lore wise, so imo Dragoons must not miss), then they should be really something special, that is also based on Dragons (Wyverns) as Mounts, so that the profession does then really look ingame, like Dragon Knights and not just again like something totally misconcepted based on Community- Forum QQ, that just looks and acts like a total Wannabe Profession, how the Dervishs and the Paragons, which were to me in my opinion the 2 biggest concept fails, I've ever seen in my Life, which destroyed more the good flair between the other professions, than they added something good and had from their begin on ever the bad image, of being some kind of overpowered species compared to normal humans.

However, hope you might get maybe inspired by my half finished CC there.
