Running 2 GW Clients at once
amish lifeguard
Hello. I just recently started playing Guild Wars again after about a year and a half break. I used to use a program that let me run 2 clients at once on my computer. I lost the link to the website where I downloaded it and was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to provide me with it.

i don't know if links to outside are against the rules but it's called GWx2
google it. first link from the top.
something like
gwx2.co.nr

Whats wrong with the drunk bot
zamial
It is a BOT and a violation of the EULA. That can get you banned. Anyone using bots needs to be banned. End of discussion.

No arguments there, just wondering if it was one of those password stealer programs
The Meth
On the other hand, Anet does not consider macros a violation of the EULA, so use one of those

Rule of thumb: if the macro relies on you sitting at your PC pressing buttons, it's ok. If it's something that you can leave running while you're not present, it ain't ok.

I seriously need to get off my butt and write a guide for this...
Anyhoo, assuming you have Guild Wars installed at C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\ you need to make a new folder - anywhere - but for ease of reference, let's say C:\Program Files\GW2\
All you need to do is copy two files - gw.exe and gw.dat - from the original GW folder to the new one you just made. Now, when you run gwx2, just tell it where the two gw.exe files are and off you go.
Please note that every time there is an update you will have to copy gw.exe from the original folder to the new one again.

Password protected? What the hell?
The gwx2_4.1.zip form www.gwx2.co.nr isn't password protected. Maybe your pc is asking for the administrator password in order to carry out that file deletion.

You can run 2 gw clients legally correct? Friend got banned because he did that...im worried about the same.
Any thoughts? I plan on using them to farm vic tokens while my main sits @ 9 rings....
Illegal? Or am I in the clear

It's more likely your friend got caught transferring gold between his two accounts. This isn't against the EULA, but it flags up as suspicious on ANet's end - major gold transactions with nothing in return usually means RMT. A few people have had this happen and a few panicky support tickets sorted it all out.
Look at it this way. My son plays GW at the same time as me via the same router. What's the difference between that and two clients running from my computer?

Yep.. when transferring gobs of money, or Globs of money, har har, make sure you add in some crappy gold items and other junk so they think it is a real trade.

Hehe, yeah. I've sold myself a raven staff for 100k before now ^^

Well, it can't be a bot if there is an actual player behind them doing something.
