how to get an account

hey everyone, i have a question. im currenlty serving in the peace corps in africa. is there a way to get an account online as i cant fly home just to buy it lol (and ebay and online stores wont ship overseas). i mean, ive already downloaded the client and all.

when i goto plaync it says this:

what does that mean lol. the only account i have is the master account thats free to sign up for. can i still get it?

That sounds like you can only upgrade, buy other chapters, but you need to have at least one chapter bought in a store.

Maybe you can have a family member buy it for you and email you the key. You don't need the CD that comes with the game. You are going to have a huge download the first time you play. All you need is the key that comes with the game.

I think you can purchase the Platinum Edition without any problems, they are talking about having/not having a PlayNC account, not a GW account.

If you don't have a PlayNC account, then you need to purchase the item(s) from the in-game store or input them manually, so the keys register to the correct GW account.

You can buy the key online at www.plaync.com in the online store. You will need a credit card for the purchase. This key you get will allow you to create a whole new GW account attached to/with that key.

You can then create a PlayNC master account, attach the GW account to this account (if this isn't done in the process of activating the 1st key you bought) and then use the online store to purchase any other additions you want (chapters, expansion, etc).

Mind you, this is generally the most expensive way to do it... and you will need a credit card to do so (online store uses credit card.. and sms in certain countries I believe..). But if you can't get products shipped to you, then this is probably your best legit way of getting the game.

Also, just to let you know - when you 1st create a plaync account, or upon 1st use of the online store.... the currency that you pay in with the online store is fixed for all time. so if you use online store and it's set to say UK pounds.. you'll always be paying in UK pounds when using the online store, even if your in America, Russia, etc.

Also, if you do purchase it this way, make sure you save the email with the account key.

well, yes, but I think its against rules

You should note that selling used cd-keys and/or accounts is against the EULA and TOS and can get the account banned if detected. Oh, and you also have absolutely no way to ensure that the original owner can't just get the account back by e-mailing GW support - either way you'll loose whatever money you paid for the account/key..

Oh, and used cd-key's can't be used ever again.. once used a key is permanently attached to the account it got used in/for/with

I did something similar with the Factions CE I got. Ordered it, and asked for the code to be emailed to me - I live in Europe, and didn't want to wait the two weeks it took to get here. Code got to me alright, and so did the box, two weeks later.

Why not ask your family/friends back home to buy it from a store? Then they can tell you/email you the needed codes. It should be cheaper than buying it from the online store, or even from ebay/amazon.

yeah, i guess ill have to do that. i just know my family (whom dont know much about gaming) will screw it up lol

It's been mentioned above, but it's a good thing to repeat it and make it crystal clear:

do not buy GW accounts from ebay or any other illegal sources; buy it from reputable stores, online or brick-and-mortar; NEVER, EVER from untrustworthy sources, or you may get into trouble and loose your account without any possibility to get it back.
