so this is what i finaly ordered :

E8400 Dual Core
Asus P45 motherboard
2gb 1066mhz ram
512mb HD4850 ati radeon
Asus DVD Burner
Cooler Master Case
22" 2ms Samsung LCD Monitor

got that for about 800 euro

Still had a PVS and a HDD

How do you guys like my new setup ?

Looks nice, but I looked up the P45 and it says on most that it uses DDR2 1200 (PC9600) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220241 which I've never seen a mobo use before, unless I'm looking at the wrong one. It probably doesn't matter though.

Looks neat anyway.

Nice, gotta love falling prices on most PC technology. I love the modern world.

PS- you will adore the E8400, and if you don't overclock it eventually, i am going to hunt you down and hang you via red licorice rope to the same fate as Commander Ryker. He escaped by eating licorice... better hope you like licorice too...

That is a very nice rig. That's the exact same one I wanted to build, but couldn't Anyway, you're going to love the monitor. I have the Samsung SyncMaster 2253bw. Awesome. Also, the e8400 can OC to...4.0ghz I think on stock cooling, stable.

Glad you caught yourself there. That is is so wrong on so many levels.


That isn't a bad setup for the price. That E8400 will rock your socks and the monitor is a good selection considering bang for the buck. Prices for hardware are falling, which nearly tempts me to upgrade this relic that I'm using.
