Has anyone ever made you CRY on guildwars.......?
allience
some events related to gw made me cry both from laughter and frustration/sadness.

teh internets is SRS BSNS
I've never come close to crying over something in GW; I'ld hope that's only a girl thing. PvP has caused some trouble in my guild, when one of our better players left (and some of the other better players with him) because he couldn't get along with two of our officers. It wouldn't have bugged me at all, but he then decided to form a guild based on the idea of avoiding problems rather than confronting them. I guess I only care about something that happens on the internet if someone does something I know they know they shouldn't have done.

A couple nights ago, my guild mates and I were on vent together grinding UW.
He said sorry to her in regards to the last pvp-rage incident. Good news is that upon our guild request, we were able to convince her to rejoin the guild again.

meh not a person an event but i didnt cry, i payed 21k+112e for a emerald sword worth 50-60k. Now i view it as a challaneg to make up what i lost, atleast it lets me play gw longer because i was gonna leave gw anyway. even before this due to lack of stuff to do.

@ the OPs question. from negitivity no. from being funny in voips yes.
The vent/ts thing can be a good thing or a very bad thing. I have done pvp w/ guildmates or elite areas. I think the problem comes from people forgeting this is a game. A game that can be very fun to play and meet some great people. Also a game that can be endlessly frustrating and unnerving.
A little food for thought. We do not allow cursing in our guild/alliance chat, we do not enforce this with an iorn fist but ask politly to please refrain from that kind of language. In our ts this is a little looser as it is way easier to speak somthing than to type it, but we also politly ask people to not do it.
The next step is to use push to talk. If I need to vent for what ever reason I can let it fly, afterwards I can then be civil again. We have lost many people over the years I have been in the guild but the ones that matter are still around. We joke and talk about stuff, in the past year I can not recall a bad time in TS.
Rule of thumb: If you wouldn't say/talk/act that way to your mother, do not do it in VOIPS. If your are a potty mouthed, hateful creature to your mother then you really need a hug or a swift kick in your pants.

PvP & other competitive stuff can make people monsters. see WoW Onyxia Raid wipe for details, lol. But seriously, PvP (all formats & platforms) is notorious for having asshats. Competition naturally draws people who need to have a way to place themselves above others.
That's really good that he apologized. it's rare.

Ive heard the occasional girl breakdown and cry in vent, but have yet to hear a guy. If I ever do though, I'll be sure to record it to share the lulz.

Since I am fueled nearly entirely by people crying, I must make people cry to survive.
I'm pretty good at it.

Cry...no, chuckle and leave....many times
It is a game. Unfortunately one that many people take far too seriously, but consequently these are people that have issues that extend far beyond GW or a PvP match.

I know someone that cried, but it was because her boyfriend broke up with her over Guild Wars (even worse than a text lol) but I don't know if that really counts...
Dante the Warlord
Ive never cried in GW except if you mean crying in laughter, which has happened when someone made a nice joke or two. Im in a guild, but i never go hardcore and I will never get ventrillo because its going to be just like Halo... lots of little annoying boys with their massive egos not wanting to compromise, same can be said to adults. Also a lot of PvP players, who are hardcore, might lead horribly sad lives, alone or isolated. They might be having troubles home and want to "win" something in their life of loss...

To the OP: Most of the players who go in pvp and get rank (sorry for the word) become pure asses and big headed. Nice high ranked pvp players exist aswell and thats whom you should look for.

PvP is meant to be much more intense and way more of a challenge. You guys should have all called your friend a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO bucket and left the guild if it upset you. I never cried over the game, but I got angry.

I cried all the time in Guild Wars, especially those Jade Scarabs. My wammo was drowning in tears. Until I got Ursan, I never cry anymore.

I'm assuming a fair few of you haven't had internet friendships that exceed the duration of Guild Wars. Hence the whole 'get over it, it's the internet.' attitude.
I've had a couple of GW friends fly up and visit me, one lives in my area and a long-time internet friend moved to my school without realising I was attending there. Other than that, I've had online friendships exceeding eight years.
I don't see why it's hard to believe some people can "take things too seriously" when they're good friends with someone.

Never cried over any game.... unless you count Life.
SmokingHotImolation
No. Ive never cried.
But its not like i dont understand why some people does. When people that you have played alot with and you thought you knew, suddenly rages at you - coming up with personal attacks and stuff...
No, i didnt cry. But i sure can imagine that some people would.

No, I've never cried from something off the game. I have cried in laughter over some of the stupid things guildies say or do.
However, a friend of mine did cry because she kept repeatedly dying on a dungeon.

Well my old guild from 2 years ago broke apart due to PvP. Some of us just wanted to go to the HoH, but the leaders kept dragging us to GvG. Also there were timezone issues and some other dramatic incidents.
Was there any crying? I don't know, but there might have been... but the leader seemed worn out...
For PvP you need an exclusive group who have plenty of time, otherwise you just need to be very understanding.
(Also the PvPers are generally the nastier crowd)

I wasn't in a guild for the longest time because I had just left a guild I was in for a long time, but when I was playing EOTN soon after it came out I quested with some guys of the same guild and they asked me to join. I made most of my long-term friends in that guild but the leader was an ass to the women in our guild. After one of the women was reduced to tears over vent, we left and formed our own guild.
