Upgrading existing Guild Wars

I have installed Guild of Wars Prophecies and after that i have upgraded the existing Guild Wars with Guild Wars: Eye of the North. At the title screen i see now the Guild Wars: Eye of the North, so far so good. But the problem is that when i log in i still can only choose Guild of Wars Prophecies. How is that possible? I have installed the original game and then Guild Wars: Eye of the North, i have upgraded my account, but i can still only play Guild of Wars Prophecies. There is no option that says i can play Guild Wars: Eye of the North...

because GW eotn is an expansion, you can only acess it through a quest with your main character at level 10+

EotN is an expansion, not a stand alone campaign. You can create a character only in Prophcies, Factions, or Nightfall. When you are atleast level 10 and have made it to Lion's Arch you will have the option of going to the EotN area.

regardless of which campaign you own (prophecies, factions and/or nightfall) the log in screen is the same---there is no choice...its eye of the north.


as for not being able to pick eye as a campaign to make a character in (say the creation screen) there is none...you have to access eye thru one of the chapters you own (LA for prophecies, Kaineng for factions, or Kamadan for nightfall)....as it is an expansion.

I see, thanks! But there are new types of heroes in Eye of the North. Can i choose them also in the beginning or later on?

You unlocked certain heroes as you progress through Eye of the North. First two you will meet are monk and elementalist.

Yes, it will be later on, but you will get two when you first do What Lies Beneath quest. With the others you will have to do quests to get them.
