I have 2 LS now and I didn't "cheat" as most people do to get them.
I was looking for a way for the MONK class to be called for more in
pre. The entire game is player-monk challenged now with the advent
of heros. It has become a lost class unless built for Elite Farming(55)
or bonding in elite areas. Doesnt anyone miss the days of player monks?
I guess that I must live in the 2D world with everyone else and just
accept that the monk as a player class is just not needed anymore.

Ok, the issue people are having is not getting LS, but getting LS and LDoA. In case you didn't know you cannot currently get LDoA and LS, because to get LDoA you have to death-level. If perma-res was available in pre, a team of two could do the follow-
#1 player death-levels the creatures in question, and
#2 player resses #1 and eventually kills the death levelled creatures for the xp.
In this manner it would be possible for a Tyrian character to gain LS and LDoA which in theory should be impossible. I think with the GH glitch it may have been possible to get both, but I'm not sure.
TBH I've no problem with the whole 2 titles deal - but I also understand that others do. LDoA is for Tyrian characters what LS is for others (ok not quite but close enough since others don't have access to it).
Secondly, pre is basically a single player area. I really don't know anyone who players with other players except for the two quests where a companion is necessary - or in matters of business transactions. Pre is single player because it is easy. Since it is single player no perma-res is needed.
Thirdly, since heroes many players play with heroes and hench rather than pugs. This is just a reality you will have to get used to. Even before heroes I played either with guild/alliance members or with henchies. Why? My experience with pugs has (generally) been bad. I could say this is true for a good proportion of the GW player base. People don't like to pug. Doesn't matter if you are a monk or a mes or a ele or whatever. Heroes are better that real players 99% of the time - and the other 1% is called guild and FList.
