well, sort of. an extra $30 for a card that just BARELY beats the HD4850, and only in a few games.
HD4870 will be out in less than 12 hours. let's see how this one shapes up then.

interestingly enough, tech report that the HD4870 actually runs cooler under load.
either way, the HD4870 can match the GTX260, at $100 less.
