Throwing Daggers for Assassins
olopotna
no this isnt about perma sf or anything like that.
if you look at most assassins armor its covered with throwing knives so why dont u have throwing knives as a weapon?
im sure anet has thought about this and have got a load of skills to go with throwing knives, and im sure that lots of peolple would love to use throwing knives.
i would just like to hear peoples opinions on this.
thankyou in advance!

I think it is a good idea
Unfortunately I doubt they could put it into the game now...but in GW2 perhaps

So basically what you're looking for is throwing knives as a new weapon...with maybe some Assassin skills to make better use of 'em?
Exactly why would you want a short-ranged weapon that deals almost no damage? If they did anything else they would be overpowered or inappropriate.

Knife throwing should be crossed-profession, like throw dirt should be, like "swift foot" should be (i just made that up) or dodging or any kind of things like that.
but say if you are dodging elemental damages, then only elementalist knows more then other classes to be able to dodge it with more dmg reduction,

No sorry?

They'd be way to underpowered or over powered. I can only think of them being good for sundering armor.

every profession in the game could have a throwing weapon, potentially. That doesn't mean they should implement it...

Sins can use spears, rods and staves like anyone else. If you want throwing daggers, maybe the developers can give them to you but take away all the shadow-stepping skills, since you wont need them anymore as a ranged attacker... I think not.

If this idea would be implemented, it would either be so underpowered, no one would ever use it, or it would be so overpowered that Rangers would never be wanted in PvE again.

No no no. Let's leave out all the ninja/Assassin's Creed bs out of a class concept. /notsigned.
I'm not sure how an assassin throwing a dagger would replace the yellow numbers from splinter barragers though.

New weapons... save for GW2 (of course if Assassins make it to GW2, I really hope to see the Arabaic assassin and not a ninja). And bring out the Katars!

And that saves us the need for creating a linked offhand (the other professions use their own)
