Extra character slots

I know I just sound like a scrub begger. But I was wondering if anyone has some extra character slots that I could have. The closest place where I would be able to buy Prophecies again for the extra character slots, is a 4 hour round trip away since I live in a pretty remote town. It would be a pretty costly trip for a few character slots.

You cant transfer character slots between accounts, so in order for someone to let you use his spare slots, he'd have to give you his account information. Somehow, I don't see that happening.

If you need more slots, just go to the in-game store. They're there for US$9.99/ea (a bit overpriced, IMHO, but available. YMMV depending on your country/currency)

You can't get extra char slots from other people, unless someone bought a copy of the game and mailed it to you.

However, you can buy extra char slots from the in-game store for $10 apiece.

When you log in, on the char selection screen in the top corner is a link to the store. Click on it and you enter the store where you can buy all sorts of goodies, like access keys for the campaigns you don't own and extra character slots.

There's one way you could get a char slot from someone (if they didn't nerfed it somehow) - it's the Nightfall pre-order key, which also adds 2 free /bonus weapons to your account. But I doubt anyone would sell that for less than 10$.

That only works if you have NF on your account as well. And the pre-order actually did cost $5 to buy, rather then being free when you pre-ordered NF. Not that there are many unused pre-orders out there(except the EoTN ones).

@Angelus The only way someone can give you extra slots is to login to your account and either buy the extra slots from the online store or to add additional campaign keys to your account. Both mean handing access of your account over to someone else and thats just asking to be robbed.
Btw, if you already have Prophecies, adding another Prophecies key won't give you extra slots. You get 4 slots for your first campaign key and 2 more for each different campaign on your account. EoTN isn't a campaign and CE and normal keys are treated the same way.

So if I have prophecies and bought it again just for some character keys, I would only get 2 slots instead of four?

No, if you already have Prophecies, you won't get anything if you buy another one. You'll need factions or Nightfall to add to your current account, then you'll get 2 more slots.

No if you already have prophecies you can not add another prophecies key to the account to get extra char slots. You can purchase either nightfall or factions if you do not already have either linked to your account and either of those 2 will add 2 char slots to your account plus give your old chars access to new areas. But if you already have all 3 campains and you want to add char slots to your account you can purchase char slots for $10 each through the online store. If you buy any of the campaings that you already have you would have to create a new account to link the cd-key too. First campaign will give you 4 char slots each additional will give you 2 char slots and EOTN does not add any char slots.

Also, if you buy one of the preorder codes on ebay (I can't remember if it was Nightfall or Eye of the North) You also get 1 character slot for that...

Nightfall was the +1 preorder bonus.

If you did buy another copy of prophesies, you would have a new separate account to logon to, separate from your existing one, with 4 slots. You can logon to either separately and play.

Funny that buying a copy of guild wars nowadays costs less then buying 2 character slots. Most of the campaigns are < $20, and I've seen sales with prophecies at $9.99
